Coaches in P5 revenue sports never just "finish" their contract unless they retire. You can't go into recruiting season with 2 years left on your deal, much less 1.
S&P+ just looks at returning production and a little fudge for recruiting rank on guys that didn't play much. New schemes are not accounted for, as far as I know.

FWIW, the RGB is much closer to the Pantone 4515C hash of #B5A369.
The CMYK looks like it has more green in it, at least on my monitor.
Our athletic subsidies via student fees is already relatively large on a per-capita basis, and AFAIK there is no appetite on campus to raise them again.
Also plenty of chances to get more cash value based on on-field performance. I suspect that this is the template deal for mid-range P5 schools going forward.
It is highly unusual in the US and especially the South for the man to be the one who pauses his career. It is more common than it used to be in that it happens at all, but come on.
