Couple things. First, it’s possible our talent level could remain constant and not have any first team players because other teams have improved. Second, it’s incredible you’d bring that up when we had our best season in a generation during that same period.
This is where it’s worth pointing out that, while that’s a lot of money to us, it’s not all that much in the market in which he’s operating. In fact, he’s probably outperforming his contract.
This is unhinged. Marshall didn’t hold to make it 2nd and 20, and he didn’t fumble. If anyone is advocating firing the coach, the reason is the inability to put together a competent defense in just about every season he’s been here.
Not sure. I just hit the button, but it certainly wasn’t addressed to you. I’m so over people who think the successful teams are that way because their fans withheld support until they were successful. They can’t seem to understand that this isn’t a chicken/egg scenario.
I’ll just point out that our best seasons usually come when we play poorly against the cupcake team. 2009 against Jacksonville State and 2014 against Wofford were not exactly convincing.
How generous of them. You know what would ease the problem? Not playing every September game at noon. Now that I’ve derailed the thread, I’ll show myself out.
