Agree. Stansbury knows this hire could very well define his success (or failure) at Tech. I’m perfectly fine with him taking the time to get it right, even if it puts me in the poor house as my productivity at work has probably been about 30% over the last week.
“Athletic director Todd Stansbury will interview five or six candidates, and the decision may not arrive for another week and a half”
Yeah, I’m going to take the over on 200 pages in this thread before a hire.
To me, this was obvious during the Pitt game. That first half of football was the worst I've seen a Tech team look in a long time, and yet it seemed to me that CPJ was disengaged relative to his normal intensity. I even made the comment to my dad that I hoped he retired at the end of the season...
I’ve never thought firing CPJ was the answer, until today. At least in the past when we played this awful he was fired up on the sideline chewing butts. I haven’t seen any of that in him today. It looks like he’s losing interest in coaching, and I’ve certainly lost interest in watching his teams.
We’ll see. I’ll definitely be experimenting. I just can’t believe that making the stadium look full would take precedence over revenues. But I sure hope you’re right!
No benefits other than being "guaranteed a ticket for every home game." And actually you can "transfer" the tickets if you're willing to give someone your username and password to access them. I actually went in on this with my parents - they paid for a pass, and my wife and I paid for a pass -...
I'm no expert, but my guess is technically no. I'm betting that the app works via some kind of algorithm that determines the value of empty seats vs the potential of those seats being sold. In other words, Tech has figured out a way to make money on seats that would most likely be empty any way...

This is an interesting read. The problem is clearly not unique to Tech. I've actually purchased 2 Stinger Mobile Passes for this season. I live 2 1/2 hours away from Atlanta and...
Speaking of seating, I had a conversation with a co-worker who’s a UNC guy recently, and he was telling me that they have removed the bleachers from Kenan and replaced them with chairs that fold (I’m guessing like what you see in most baseball stadiums). In doing that they’ve reduced the...
Here’s a screenshot. Be ready for a long wait. I called at noon, was on hold for about 10 minutes, and then requested a call back which came at about 1:45.
Update in case anyone is curious: I called adidas today, and the gold polo is now on back order. I had the option of canceling my order but decided to keep it since I’ve been wanting a good gold polo for a long time. Looks like it’s going to be a while before I get it though. Bummer.
Given how much this killed us last season, I think this is a reasonable place to start. Realistically, I think the D will probably make some big negative plays / defensive touchdowns, but will probably also give up some home runs as well since it’s a more aggressive style. Make more big plays...
I also ordered the gold polo using this code on August 10th. The website said it was out of stock but would ship on the 15th, and I would get an email when it ships. No notification of shipment yet, and when I check the order it says scheduled to ship on 8/16. I’m calling them if I don’t hear...
