Mandel answers a question by Vince from Washington D.C. (copy & pasted it below)
I have a question about another "smart" school: Georgia Tech. Considering its history and location, Tech is a school that could (arguably should) thrive like Vandy or Stanford. But the Jackets seem to be stuck, at...

Pretty much said that GT allows special admits per the article he cites below. interesting since there's always conflicting information about "special admits" at GT and whether...
Extreme example perhaps but Bill Belichick wasn't exactly a great HC when he was with the Browns and like Roof he was a good DC. Now on Belichick's second stint as a HC, I think we can all say he's doing rather ok to put it mildly.
Not saying Roof will become a HOF HC. Just saying, that...
Found a pretty neat youtube video pretty much showing clips of all the plays he's made while at Tech. Figured people on this board would appreciate this and also appreciate the job Orwin Smith had done on the field at Tech.
I think you just can't watch the video when its embedded into this site. Watch it directly on youtube and it'll work.
Watching it right now as I type this.
Notre Dame. Last year's starting QB won't be available to join the team until Jan. and some of the key guys on last year's team are gone (i.e. Manti Teo). That D-line is still intact and they are bringing in highly touted recruiting classes but still....
Also if I recall, they won a lot of...
Hopefully we pass a lot in this game to get our QB and receivers (A-backs, b-backs, and espceially the WRs) in-sync and to have them gain some confidence. I'm sure we will be able to win, just want to make sure some of the new guys get some game experience (i.e. Smelter, Henry).
Sounds like a great kid and I'm sure his parents are proud of him (even if he's going to the "other" state school).
What's really awesome about this is that he'll be out there recruiting for GT for the next 2 years.
Hopefully against Elon, we will get to see a lot of passing and get a good gauge of who is able to create separation and catch the ball. If they can't hack it against Elon's secondary, we are going to be in world of trouble.......
Here's hoping Darren Waller is able to put it all together and...

Any hoot, the fact that Vad is out there competing and trying to learn as much as he can on his own dime/time, tells me all I need to know about our starting QB. Our offense is in good hands folks.
Not sure about you guys but it sounded like as if Vad had just gotten there. Like HE JUST GOT OFF THE PLANE and barely got there in time to be out there. After Vad ran through the first drill, it sounded like as if one of the coaches told Vad to warm up a bit.
This video shows the 2012 GT offensive plays in the 1st half of the BC game. Just love watching this video because you get to see the potential that Vad Lee has in this offense as he works in the triple-option formation and the pistol formation. This video also shows the difference between a...
Shamire DeVine. I believe he will balloon to 800 lbs and they'll have to "Breakout" his butt from his dorm room.
But with all kidding aside, I would say my breakout player would be Anthony Williams. Or at least I hope to see him breakout since he is more suited for DE in a 4-3 defense as...
per the depth chart (http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/geot/sports/m-footbl/auto_pdf/2013-14/depth_chart_non_event/1111.pdf), Chris Milton seems to be slated to start next to Johnson with Demond Smith/Fred Holton as the back-up.
I figure that the depth chart for this position is pretty...
