We’re going to move the ball on them. Their run defense isn’t nearly as good as it was last year. The trick will be to continue not turning it over and finishing drives (which we didn’t do Saturday). Do those and this is going to be a tight game. Do it not and it’ll get ugly in a hurry.
Uga has become a team for whom the bookies cannot make a spread big enough. I think the last team they didn’t cover against was Missouri, and that was a push.
If we don’t turn it over, we’re going to score on them. If we lose (and we probably will), it won’t be because they stopped our offense dead in its tracks. That team can be run on; we just have to hang on to the ball and hit a few throws. If we do that, we’re going to give them all they can...
The noon kicks are not going to be eliminated, but they will be significantly reduced next year. With the ACC network, there will be more non-noon spots available. It’ll help us out considerably.
The crowd may not not have been great today, but it was alive in a way it wouldn’t have been...
I’d like to know what the hell they were thinking going into the end zone on third and one in the fourth quarter. They were killing us and almost certainly would have gotten the first down on the ground.
I think the game would have been closer if UVA was totally healthy, but they’re not. I expect the offense to move the ball, and if we can hang onto it, score plenty of points. UVA will move the ball on us, too, but not enough. 34-27, Jackets.
Honestly, this tells me more about where he thinks the offense is right now. That’s the kind of stuff he says when he thinks we can score almost every time we have the ball. UVA (to say nothing of uga) seems to always give us fits, so we’ll see if he’s right.
It was mostly a joke, but as has been discussed ad nauseum, we don’t control kick times. Believe Carolina was our whiteout game last year. I’ll give you one guess what time that game kicked at.
