Agreed. This, his previous comments/tweets, and the fact that Keion White is labeled as a Georgia Tech person and not GT/Old Dominion, make me less salty that the Alabama logo is the only one tied to Jah on all the news and coverage.
Another reminder (for those who aren't aware) that @BigGameBoomers tweets are pulled out of the place where the sun doesn't shine.
(No, seriously. It's all hot air. There is no source cited, because there is no source. He's just throwing things out there to get reactions.)
Just turned it on. Haven't seen either of our guys, but Keion is showing out across the bottom info line as a top 5 EDGE.
Didn't catch all of them as they went across the screen, but #1 was from Bama, and #5 was from Clemson.
I still think it matters.
In addition to the benefits of being able to see teams play in person, the media exposure is real. Out here in Denver - even with Youtube TV - it's rare to see a Virginia or a Duke or NC game live. Heck, we even have issues seeing some of the GT games - thanks, Bally...
This is funny to me. I was stranded in coastal SC over the Christmas holidays this year (thanks to the Southwest issues), and needing to be back before New Year's, my family rented a car and drove across country to Denver. As we passed through Atlanta, I convinced my wife to let us stop at the...
Exactly this.
Could Shanahan have been faster? Probably. But I agree that too many of our issues were the direct or indirect result of our blocking (both scheme and performance) being off. As soon as the formation problems were fixed, then you have to deal with the ripple effects of a punter...
Yep. And operated with a punt formation for the first 4 games that no one else in the country used. That couldn't have had anything to do with the blocked punts, nor could the 5 big-*** guys in his face have anything to do with his performance being "unpredictable."
Of course, most of us...
Something interesting I just picked up - was looking at Travares Tillman's Wikipedia page, and noticed:
In 2016-17, he was a graduate assistant at uGA, working with defensive backs. Then he transitioned into a "defensive quality control assistant" role with the defense for the 2018 season...
Do our licensing and branding guidelines have something about licensees getting the school's name correct? If not, seems like a tiny oversight.
(I mean, I can understand it from an 18 year-old kid on Twitter. But an official licensee?
To be academically snotty*...
...lots of GT grads on this forum. Many probably don't understand what the little " symbols mean.
*Went to Oglethorpe, majored in English. :p;)
Agreed. I do think the opening against an ACC opponent is a good thing. Not only is it a new era with a new head coach, but the game actually means something - so hopefully the (GT, not uGA) fans grab season tickets and roll out the welcome mat at MBS for our boys.
Hell, if I wasn't 2000 miles...
I agree. I can't hope but look forward to a day when the product we put on the field can command premium ticket prices. But for now, butts in seats are the important thing. Here's hoping it actually makes a difference.
As a former professional skydiver and an AFF instructor, I'm of course down with this idea.
(Only problem is, for the time it would take to get CBK trained up to this level, I'd much rather see him doing other things.)
Yep. Lots of cool stuff happening at VSU. Interestingly, before Hal Mumme arrived, the university didn't get nearly as much attention in town as the two high schools did.
If you haven't read S.C. Gwynne's book The Perfect Pass about Mumme and Leach's experience developing the Air Raid at Iowa...
What would be poetic is the NCAA not letting him out of his signed letter of intent, because "We have no jurisdiction or say over NIL matters."
Not that that would happen, but one can dream.
Good to see another War Eagle on here - although we're a few years apart. :)
While I was there, they were recruiting CJ Williams. Seemed like he was the last Woodward kid who warranted GT recruiting for a long number of years, until a couple of years back.
