They are called academic elites by some, probably the most arrogant of all. I personally would not know having been damn lucky to get out of GT with a degree, glad I don't have to do it again. Looking back at my life, think I would take a lot of common everyday sense (over book sense ) which I was gifted with some what, certainly not entirely. Again, looking back, timing may have been the most important ingredient for success.

Just give them all a trophy. That’s what we do in this modern enlightened age.

There’s a pecking order in everything- size of house, neighborhood, car you drive, vacations, where you eat, where your kids go to school, etc.

No different for GT except we sit near the top of many lists and for good reason. No need to apologize. A lot of hard work over many, many decades with a lot of smart people went into making our Institute what it is.
