So here is a question I just thought of... Since pretty much all head coaches have buyouts on their contracts, and we seem pretty cash strapped, does that push us towards hiring an assistant coach as our new HC rather than paying their buyout?
I generally agree with you, but in this case I have to disagree. I don’t think we HAD to have a 3O coach - only one who employed a lot of option concepts. Someone who ran a variant of Urban Meyers offense would have done much better.
I will still go back and watch that game where Tobias Oliver ran ALL OVER Virgina Tech. That was the game where I had visions of what the next couple of years were going to look like. AH... What could have been...
Possibly, but I think he would have had a hard time beating out Tobias Oliver. Oliver didn't have as good of an arm, but, man, he was special with the ball in his hands.
So, my question is whether Deion can actually coach or is he winning with superior athletes? Regardless of what he can do for recruiting, we have lived through multiple seasons of someone who can't coach and we can't afford to go down that road again...
This was the main reason why I thought we should have gone after Willie Fritz. While he has not set the world on fire at Tulane, he would have know exactly what he was getting into after taking over an identical situation at Ga Southern and doing a spectacular job there. Even if he was not the...
That offense scared teams to the point where they would change their practice routines both before the season as well as within the season. Moreover, a LOT of teams even changed their OOC scheduling so they could get additional practice against the option.

So here is something I haven’t heard discussed. With the new early signing period in December, if you fire a coach right after the season, do you lose your entire recruiting class?
So I saw the clip and while at face value it looks bad, I have my doubts it is what it appears. He’s was looking at a tablet - which I know they use to review plays. What I couldn’t tell is whether the offense or defense was on the field. If it was the offense, then a DC reviewing the previous...
