What I am confused about is when LJ came in with the same OL as Graham LJ moved the O. I loved the play calling during that stretch. And against Miami I loved the play calling that sprung Mason to big yards. I have seen these stretches of good play w the existing OL and would love more of that.
In ‘75 the same thing was happening. 2.94 was about top 20% for BME. A**H*** static prof downgraded my all A testing including final, to a B because I didn’t show up in class enough. Kept me from graduating with the 3 pt that was my goal. I am almost over it
Like a few of us been saying since the beginning of the season give the man the rock about 20 times a game. It will pay off now that we have some passing threat
IMHO RonJohn you nailed it in this analysis. Each game the way you described it is how I experienced those games with my old, untrained eyes. My hope and prayer is that we have more game plans that attack our opponents weaknesses and trust that our talent, and I do believe we have some talent...
There were a number of people on this site that said early on let's lean on what we have before going all in to where we want to go. I agreed completely. Mason and Howard and Griffin sprinkled in with Graham on some of his option carries, sprinkled in with some nice passes, sprinkled in with...
Cannot emphasize this enough. It has been proven with data and good analysis by a number of our members of this site that budget/giving $’s influences staffing that influences recruiting results. Simple casual loop systems thinking. Even with being totally shortchanged $ in this area we...
And FSU is just one example Miami and Georgia under Richt , UCLA and Southern Cal, Texas, Michigan this year, and this list is goes on and on. You need both. If I can only pick one I pick coaching.
You have one amazing wife. What a cool tradition. Obtw I have two sons one went U of Montana and one MSU so I get your rivalry. The one that went to U of M became the number 3 guy at Black Coffee which I know you will know. He also was an adjunct prof at U of M Now he and his brother run Queen...
A couple of more articles on Waller and DT:
"Head coach Jon Gruden has mentioned several times that they are excited to see Waller in camp and that they are going to give him the “chance of a lifetime” as there is no established starter at the position.
Given how athletic he is and the flashes...
Hmmm I give you Homer Rice the best AD ever. Turned GT around. But only us old timers really understand this. Had the privilege having dinner with him once. A beautiful and memorable experience. Very sad when he retired. And take the points I believe in what you say just sometimes we have that...
I heard CPJ many many many times talk about and promote the virtues of GT and what it means to our student athletes. And he pleaded for more resources especially recruiting $s way before TStan. He was not the cheerleader that our current coach is but he was a true Tech man that believed in all...
