Lol Wake was no where near as good as the levels under Johnson. Not even close. We beat top rated blue bloods under Johnson. To the poster's point above, wake had a good record because they didn't beat anyone who was any good.

When I was at tech, we had the athlete curve for classes that had student athletes enrolled. It was like winning the lottery when you saw you had a player in your class. That's not just for difficult classes, it included electives.
Tech certainly is not easy, I'm sure it's 100% more difficult...
It's hard to convince 18 year olds to think that far into the future, so it's a damn shame when adults in their lives push them down that path knowing full well what the chances of making it are. Not to say you shouldn't go for it, but at least have a reasonable back up plan.
