  2. Apples and Oranges

We’re being asked not to talk about it. It’s hard to imagine a bigger excuse than to deny its existence. If it’s not the defining moment, then that means good things are happening. I’ll be happy to say I was wrong (in fact, I desperately want to be wrong). However, for now, it is the...
  3. Apples and Oranges

You asked the question; I gave you my answer. Sorry you don’t like it. Yes, I do. The balance of your comment is an appeal to authority. I have no personal animus toward him. I just think he’s bad at his job, and the evidence supports me.
  4. Apples and Oranges

If the loss was inexcusable, what excuse it? The latter part of your comment is speculative and warrants no response.
  5. Apples and Oranges

    Competence.
  6. Has Georgia Tech Football entered the Bill Lewis Era part II?

The problem Johnson has was that he was this close to actually getting the program to the next level. He should have beaten uga in 2009, and then in 2010 Nesbitt got hurt. I think we’d have won the VT game and the uga game that year, and maybe the bowl, which turns 6-7 to 9-4 and 3-0 against...
  7. Has Georgia Tech Football entered the Bill Lewis Era part II?

I don’t think this makes the point you think it does.
  8. Has Georgia Tech Football entered the Bill Lewis Era part II?

I hope so, but I’d sure like to see the proof before I reached the conclusion.
  9. A Message our Players (Reposted from the other site.)

I agree. I think Collins would have absolutely found a way to lose that game. It’s worth mentioning that we played two 1-AA schools (and beat both of ‘em) and Duke in those six games, and offenses weren’t then what they are now.
  10. Has Georgia Tech Football entered the Bill Lewis Era part II?

I’m honestly not trying to be difficult, but why does anyone believe he can recruit? What is the basis for this belief?
  11. A Message our Players (Reposted from the other site.)

We were close to being tied with Gardner Webb, not losing. And if we almost lost to the Citadel and went on to win nine games, no one would care.
  12. Has Georgia Tech Football entered the Bill Lewis Era part II?

I don’t really laugh at them. I think it’s silly hope and change stuff, but whatever. Mostly, I’m just bummed the f—- out. I look forward to the season all year, and this crap is what we get? I mean, we are terrible. Like probably the worst P-5 team, and Rutgers and Kansas and Oregon State...
  13. Has Georgia Tech Football entered the Bill Lewis Era part II?

Gotcha. I think we’re in the same boat then.
  14. Has Georgia Tech Football entered the Bill Lewis Era part II?

There’s a lot here to unpack, but let’s just start by saying that no one’s rooting against Collins. People are simply guessing what’s coming in the future. I was not optimistic when he was hired, and the results have done little to change my mind. I genuinely hope I’m wrong. The folks who...
  15. Has Georgia Tech Football entered the Bill Lewis Era part II?

It’s not entirely obvious a decent one came with a seven year contract.

    Speaking honestly =/= spreading negativity
  17. Duke Vs Ga Tech Recruiting since 2015

We have money? This is news.
  18. Duke Postgame: GT loses 41-23

Good news is that we don’t need to worry about a championship game or bowl game. He can play in half of the remaining games, though I wouldn’t blame him if he didn’t want to play this season.
  19. Duke Postgame: GT loses 41-23

I believe he’s allowed to play in four games and retain his redshirt season.
  20. Do we lose any coaches

I might recommend he speak with his current players, though I’m a bit concerned that he’ll do more harm than good.
