The lady probably just read Jonathan Swift’s “A Modest Proposal”, didn’t realize it was satire and thought it applies to the current situation. But seriously, what is an appropriate reaction if you truly believe that the end is coming in a dozen years? Think of what would be happening if NASA...

If we get blown out it’s because of CPJ. If it’s close, it’s because of a bad call by the refs (targeting probably). If we win it’s because of solid coaching.

You might want to start by looking at scholar opinions who are affiliated with the American Enterprise Institute...Kenneth Green and James Glassman. I found their names after reading an article by Mark Perry at AEI and then researching the background of the Institute. A Google search leads me...
I doubt there are many reputable scientists who would go on the record, even if they wanted to question the validity of man made climate change; it would be career suicide. Besides, everyone seems pretty entrenched in their beliefs.

My “nm” meant never mind. I was going to write something to lighten the mood but it didn’t come out right so I erased it and just wrote nm. But I think you’re right to let it go, fwiw. It’s a little thing and I enjoy reading both of your perspectives on things.

Too bad we don’t get a draft pick for being at the bottom of the barrel.
We will probably ease our way out of the bottom just because of our SOS, even if we lose all of our remaining games. Although, losing to the other Tech would be really bad.

I’m not sure how your reply relates to my post. For example, are you saying JeT might have paid Okogie? If so, for what? What I was saying is if Trevor Lawrence got paid for his likeness then he should have to split it with his team. That happens now?
Regardless, I was being facetious...
More and more folks seem to be warming up to socialist ideas (not me) so maybe if the player earns money from his likeness then he has to split it with his teammates. I think I’ve heard this called “redistributing the wealth”. Sounds fair. Why should an offensive lineman not make any money...
What would prevent the NCAA from keeping these schools from competing in NCAA events? The rule only pertains to them if they’re a member of the NCAA.

Actually, that’s the best reason. If you don’t like the rule, change the rule. If the athletes don’t like the rule then they don’t have to play.

Don’t attorneys have to pass a Bar exam? I mean, they can have the education but they aren’t worth much until they pass the Bar in every state they plan to practice in.

I’m late to the party. Are we talking about calculating a winning percentage for 15 wins and 10 losses? 15/(15+10)=.600
