In 12 quarters of football, no offense has scored a TD on Clemson’s defense. Our offense under Yates put up more total yards (309) than UGA(256) or SC State(235). Yates also passed for more yards(203) than UGA(135) or SC State(132).
Sims has a lot going for him but I think it’s unlikely...
I remember the Don Johnson (Miami Vice) days. Those shoes may be comfortable but they probably smell like the north end of a southbound mule. Just sayin’.
I agree but I also see Jerry’s point. Putting Sims back in after healing may be the “right” thing to do but I’d be very concerned about flopping after taking out Yates’ hot hand. That would take the wind out of my sails, for sure. Weighing things out like that is why CGC makes the big $$$.
I see your point but I hope you’re wrong. To your point about maintaining team chemistry, maybe run two QBs for a game or two. I’ve never been a fan of two QBs but the mutts had some success doing it. This would have the advantage of making life harder on the opposing DC because I don’t think...
Not one of Dabo’s finest moments. After stopping us on the 1, his mind took a hike. Mine too, actually. I turned the game off with 15 seconds left and awoke this morning to a 14-8 score instead of the 14-6 score that I left. I didn’t see the safety until I rewatched the game this afternoon.
This question was probably already asked but I cant find it. After the safety and free kick, why didn’t Gibbs try to run 20 or 30 yards and then fall down before the clock expired? This could’ve gotten us close enough for a Hail Mary. The clock was at 7 seconds and it doesn’t start running...
I was at a birthday party last night and I wasn’t able to watch the second half as closely as I wanted to. Unfortunately, the lightning delay caused the game to switch from ABC to ESPN2 and my DVR didn’t get the last twenty minutes (quarter and a half). Do any of you know where I can find the...
I know we had a great defensive game but the offensive stats surprised me more. We had 309 total yards (203 passing and 106 rushing) against Clemson. When the mutts played them, they had 256 total yards (135 passing and 121 rushing). IMO, we played an exceptional game on both sides of the ball.
I know this will go in the L column but this was a W for me. I saw some real grit and determination from these guys. Can I also say Yates is like Rocky Balboa…all heart. Go Jackets!
