You brought two points that I have been thinking about a lot here lately. A . 01 or a little bit more increased rating isn’t going to do it. But more importantly, a 3 or 4 win season is going to hurt. IF we win 3or 4 you run the risk of losing a player or two. IF we only win 3or 4 this year...
I know nobody would use the spread option in the NFL, but I think it would work. If you view it from a GM and salary cap level. Your highest paid players on O are PP QB, LT, and WR. Because you are looking for and value different trait at QB you will save a ton on QB. Since you aren’t...
The ground work has been done in terms of PR only thing left to do is winning on Game day. If the wins follow then I think you could see more from other sports. If we don’t see an increase in wins then I don’t think it will be picked up by other sports.
If it was legal, don’t you think every program would use there track and field (among other sports) to get extra scholarship to the football program. You could go from 85 to over 100 scholarships.
You can’t do that, I don’t know the actual language of the rule, but it something like the sport that is played first has be the sport that you get a scholarship. Think it was written for fb. Now you can run track but your scholarship must come fb or not at all.
Thats two different arguments. I don’t see that many true freshman starting this year. I think most of the O starters have played in the O before. It’s still football, and now they are ask to do things they have always done.
Totally different being a position coach and the head man. Also, it’s really hard to say since you typically don’t really hear much about a position coach and wasn’t he only at each school for two years. Good position coaches don’t always make good HC. Like I said we will have to wait until...
“In the two years observing Geoff Collins up close, we can sum him up in a few words: More style than substance.”
This has been my biggest fear of the CGC hire. I hope at the end of the season my fear will be put to rest.
I think DM was the better back, but if MM would have run as hard as he did against the pups the entire year he would have been the starter. He was a beast late in that game
Doesn’t really matter. If you are a good Bb, then you will be a good rb in any offense. Why does it matter if they were recruited? One could argue that AA was recruited to be a BB since he was a transfer.
Has anyone that is transferring posted anything on social media? I know in the past guys have posted a “thank you, but I’m doing what is best for me” letter.
Can’t answer at this time, we have to wait until the end of the season to get clue of what the answer will be. 1st we have to look at W and L. 2nd how are we recruiting. It can be ok if the 1st doesn’t go the right way IF #2 is going great (more than a few 4 stars). If both are bad it will...
