It's hard for me to believe that opposing coaches aren't using this against us on the recruiting trail. Or at least that's what I tell myself to feel better about all the 2nd place finishes.
Yeah I think 2009 UGA was the worst loss of CPJ's tenure by far. Our best team in decades lost to their worst team in decades. We could've started our own streak against them if we don't choke that game.. that one still irritates me.
I hope you're right, too! Maybe if we have unexpected offensive success this year with our current roster we can bring CPJ back as a recruiting coordinator. ;)
And this is why we see publications predicting 3 wins from us this year. I'm not expecting an above average defense, I just hope to see an improvement from the last few years.
If we don't see ANY improvement from the D this year I will be disappointed for sure.
I think that is part of the problem, though. Because of our lesser talent on offense during the CPJ era, we needed perfectly executed blocks, reads, spacing and timing in order to become the offensive juggernaut that we were. Now we have a simpler offense, but we also have the same talent level...
Two years?? The last 6 years every team in the Coastal has made the championship game except for UVA. Which means they'll probably make it this year to make it 7 different teams in 7 years.
Dude this is supposed to be enjoyable.. it's a game. I don't understand the point of crapping on anyone who decides to be positive and supportive of the program in every thread. You can state your opinion without accusing everyone of being brainless sheep "drinking koolaid" like we're in...
I agree our academic support structure is great and can help guys that wouldn't be able to survive without it. That's why it's funny to me when I see posts saying we are a different beast than any other school like Stanford or ND like we are the only school in P5 that makes our kids go to class...
You're right, technically he didn't fail out so I'm sorry for any confusion I caused. But right now his low GPA doesn't allow him admission to the academic powerhouse that is Nebraska yet we allowed him in and he never failed out after being in school for 1+ year. My only point is that academics...
The fact that he was academically qualified at Tech but is failing out of a community college shows that those excuses about our academics being too hard are a bunch of bs.
He definitely sulked a lot on the court during this season.. his body language was not great at times. I wasn't surprised at all when they announced the transfer. But he did always give his all on D and I hope he finds his shot again back at home. Good luck CGB!!
The reason I said yall ruined another thread is because this current conversation was not actually started in this thread. This convo was moved from another thread to this one, hence yall ruined the other thread before it was cleaned up by our amazing Mods. :)
I say anytime Gold or Super decides to ruin another thread complaining about colors we just quote this post as a reply. There's nothing else that needs to be said.
