I am going 6-6 and a bowl win. Our overall coaching staff has improved , Key will be a much better HC this year than TFG ever was. His attention to detail and experience with former good/great HCs will show up in our preparation, mental toughness and in game decisions. We still need more talent...

To answer your question, IMO not too much more than that. Bottom line, we still have a lot to prove this season and these CBS opinions, and other similar, should be a great motivator for our young team.

I agree with you on both points. However, CPJ reached a point of coaching past his expiration date, IMO. He had some success- not as much as many wanted- but we were in the mix in the conference for most years. Collins however, could never even establish a hint of an upward trajectory. The hype...

I think the playmakers that we had before CBK achieved it in spite of the coaching, not because of it. Without the disorganization and trainwreck that was TFG, players will be better prepared , having greater confidence and freedom to "make a play".

I appreciate this summary, and I agree with all you wrote. Generally , I think our talent is improving year over year due to better scouting and evaluation of signees than previously. That combined with miles better coaching up during the week , game day prep, and in game decisions in all phases...

Ferris State usually has a good solid program. Top level D2. This guy also played some RB in HS, good academics, too. Would be a nice addition, IMO.

Thacker's comments about having Key trust him with running the defense, and implying that he didn't have that from TFG speaks volumes, IMO.
