Coaching is a factor, but there are other factors that are more predictive of football success: student enrollment + stadium size = $$$. Tech is smaller than most "football schools" in all three of those categories.

Yeah, I think I'm with you on this. He's got all winter to make sure this is a W. If the team is not ready, hungry for that game...it's all on Collins. Fire him after the game and try to salvage the rest of the season. And just a thought...is it possible that the team WANTS a change and...

Well, I'm greatly encouraged (and a little bit surprised) by the results, so far. Given all the negative talk, I really expected a lot more "fire CGC at all costs" sentiment. I feel better. :)

He'll do okay...he may have to compete for snaps, but Bama's OL is so talented that I could have a good season running behind them. ;)

Who doesn't against those squads? :cool: I've always wondered what our ceiling would have been if we had run that offense with better recruits. We'll never know, but it's understandable that the kids with a shot at playing on Sundays want to go where they get prepped for the next level.
