For whatever reason Dabo seems to have a stiffie for GT and CGC. It showed in the game last year and I’m guessing he will be looking to our game to show everyone the O is just fine. Nothing in the first two games gives me any indication that we will slow them down. 29 is a lot but seems right
Funny. I had a call with a GT Alum today who is a supplier in our industry. Good guy and externally seems like the kind of guy who might be a fan. I brought up our season so far and he asked “yeah, how are we doing this year ? hows the new coach doing?”. Guy had no idea. Lived in Atlanta...
As much of a fan of the 3O as I am, I think this is 100% correct. Someone somewhere will try it again for good reason, but they will hesitate based on our experience so far (Right or wrong).
They did run for 320 and had the ball for >41 minutes. The D was gassed at the end. Can’t let that happen this time around. Being on their 3rd string QB is big though…
So that means that at some point CGC was clearly the #1 choice. If we offered him a 5 yr deal and he (is his agent) said no and then we went to 7, them we were negotiating against ourselves. There was no other party in play. If wr stick to our guns I can’t imagine CGC turns it down - but we...
Like defending any good 3O team, take away the dive. Make them work for yards. Play down and distance. When a 3O team controls that, you’re either dead or it will be closer than you like. On offense, just run. Run. Run. Run and setup the pass. Put Sims in a position to be successful - don’t...
Im going with 28-16. We’ll be better but I think KSU takes the air out of the ball and we will allow them a few long drives. If we have turnovers it could flip the other way. if KSU turns it over our margin will be bigger.
I mean by any measure didn’t he reach that point about half way through year 1 ? Elite, high level, better. every. single. day. It became cartoonish quickly and now it just sounds ironic as we are none of the above.
It really became nothing but noise very quickly. At that time the...
And of course as many have said - transitioning from CPJ and 3O has nothing to do with the defense. How that’s is relevant to our secondary being in a state of confusion on a final drive or getting no pressure on a MAC bottom feeding OL can’t be hung on the transition. That’s for CGC.
Good...
Yikes. This seems there is a drumbeat outside of this board. CGC will need to shock all of us to change the momentum. His presser got some attention as well. IIWII
So if the Coordinators aren’t the problem and seeing the NIU breakdowns seems to indicate that’s the case, then the arrow points to ?????
How do we get CGC a caddy to take all the important day to day decisions off his plate. That may be the only way we survive this contract.
Bless his heart. He just can’t help himself. A guy with 6 wins in 23 games loves to show us what shoes he is wearing and now says look at me again.
We bought a lemon
Everything seems to “look” like it’s slow developing - this may be a reason why. Sims looks flatfooted when he’s making the read or handoff. He may not be, but it sure looks that way and to my eyes the D is getting time to react. My eyes may be completely wrong on this.
