  1. Mostly “Fire Geoff Collins”, some reminiscing, maybe bourbon or other distractions

Agree. This would have been a much better approach. It also would have taken someone self aware to do it...
  2. Mostly “Fire Geoff Collins”, some reminiscing, maybe bourbon or other distractions

Whatever our scheme is (4-2-5 effort based or whatever) it's not working and hasn't since day 1. We didn't have a historic transformation on D, we just have a HC, DC, and some position coaches who don't measure up. Collins came in with two skills on his resume - recruiting and defense. He's 1...
  3. Mostly “Fire Geoff Collins”, some reminiscing, maybe bourbon or other distractions

Gonna have to wait a long time for that I’m afraid
  4. Mostly “Fire Geoff Collins”, some reminiscing, maybe bourbon or other distractions

He also talked about his pass defense and said if we stick to our core pass defense technique which has been really good….
  5. Mostly “Fire Geoff Collins”, some reminiscing, maybe bourbon or other distractions

I can’t tell you how 2015 GT would roll this defense.
  6. Mostly “Fire Geoff Collins”, some reminiscing, maybe bourbon or other distractions

I mean, this really strikes as pretty darn tone deaf. It's all fine that he believes it and conveys it to his players - good for him on that. He has to know, however how this comes off elsewhere. Unless, of course, he doesn't. Some of the other stats paint a pretty diametrically opposed...
  7. Mostly “Fire Geoff Collins”, some reminiscing, maybe bourbon or other distractions

I mean it’s not like such a move is uncommon in Cfb. Happens all the time
  8. Mostly “Fire Geoff Collins”, some reminiscing, maybe bourbon or other distractions

I think a lot of HC candidates would be confident they could outperform our current one and avoid the situation
  9. Transfer Impact 2021

Exactly... Sometimes there are very explainable reasons (grad school + better opportunity or personal reasons like CTC) but it's risky to overstate the potential impact - and we did...
  10. Transfer Impact 2021

Very fair. Can't fault the guys for being injured, but going back to the start of the season the contribution has not measured up to the (ahem) hype. Good call on Cimaglia - oversight on my part.
  11. Transfer Impact 2021

There's also a cautionary tale there about transfers. Even where we are today I'm just not going to get too excited about guys jumping here from Maryland, Norfolk State, or ODU... In spite of the hype, they haven't moved the needle outside of Cochran and maybe McGowin. Some will be good...
  12. Mostly “Fire Geoff Collins”, some reminiscing, maybe bourbon or other distractions

This is a very well stated summary of where we are with no hyperbole. My concern is that if ADTS does not take some of the actions you list above - if we stand pat hoping the small losses turn into small wins and so on, then I think (my opinion) we will continue on our current trajectory...
  13. #GTvsMIA Postgame. Tech falls short 33-30

Btw USC(east) looked pretty good last night with their first year coach and a 3rd string qb.
  14. Mostly “Fire Geoff Collins”, some reminiscing, maybe bourbon or other distractions

I listened to 680 after the post game. Not an ATeam crew but they did mention that things should be better than they are in year 3 and that we likely need some changes on the staff.
  15. Geoff Collins Press Conference Post Miami

    Thank you for your service
  16. Geoff Collins Press Conference Post Miami

It’s like Crash told nuke in Bull Durham. You can have gimmicks when you’re winning. When you stink, you just look stupid. Well CGC congrats.
  17. Geoff Collins Press Conference Post Miami

Jfc. You win three games for three years in a row and then can’t handle when someone asks about the losses??? Gonna get worse before it gets better. Guys in way over his head
  18. Mostly “Fire Geoff Collins”, some reminiscing, maybe bourbon or other distractions

Yeah. CGC doesn’t need to worry about his next HC spot
