I don't like the call - it doesn't look like a good way to gain short yardage. But..... everyone does it and this is a good point. I think this is one where the experts know more than me (there may be a lot of these if I'm honest).

My problem with Pastner at that time was the Ron Bell situation. Yes it now is clear that Bell was lying, but Pastner was keeping this dirtbag near his program and his family.

  4. Strength and Conditioning?

    Just completely wrong.

This is what some of us (his harsher critics) have said from jump. He put all his credibility on the line betting on early performance. When that didn’t come the hype became laughable. Those that pointed this out were shouted down quickly. The emperor has no clothes. It’s just taken longer...
  6. Where do we go from here?

Understood. Just asking for those that were there - what did the stands look like ? I didn’t get back from golf until the 3rd quarter and there were VERY FEW shots showing the stands on the TV broadcast. (Incidentally, living away from the Atlanta market does make it pretty much a slam dunk...
  7. Where do we go from here?

I haven’t seen many comments about the crowd size. Saw someone on Twitter say 35k followed by a lot of statements that it was nowhere near that many. We can talk about 7 year contracts and buyouts but at some point the pain threshold is crossed. One part is $$ donations and the other is...

I agree with this except the last part. From year 1 he has looked like the car chasing dog who catches one. He looks lost and has for a while. When he says he knows exactly where the program is, he doesn’t. We know (or should know) where this is going to end. It’s the timing that’s in...

i fundamentally don’t agree with item 1. He has added talent, but he does no have infinite time to show progress - and it ain‘t gonna be 7 years. It’s up to CGC how much time he can buy himself to show progress. right now he is emptying the hourglass pretty quickly. Money people will be...
  13. Time to make some educated guesses

Back in the Gailey days I had a bunch of recent grads working for me in Atlanta. We honestly were ready to stop the UGA game. The gap had gotten too large. Then CPJ comes in and there’s hope. I’m back to not playing the game anymore because I cannot see any path to making that game...
  14. Time to make some educated guesses

Has nothing to do with our schedule. I figured 2-3 wins. Believe we will finish with 3. Can’t see ius beating BC or Miami. And the rest - geez can we just forfeit ?

I could be wrong but it seems like we were better at that two years ago - certainly Mason had more success on inside runs in 2019 than today. We’re not getting better as a program.

What I’d give for a deathmarch. It was so much fun. You got to see the defense just die on the vine. But hey - we’ve got a pro set offense now. Great !

TStan needs to make it something that isn’t a choice for CGC. They go or you all go

He might be. Bad hires are expensive and tend to have consequences
