I've got an idea...and I'm just spit-balling here...but what if we were to hire a coach who installs an offense that most other teams don't see regularly and haven't adequately prepared for? Something our coaches and players know better than our opponents do? Could that possibly work?

+100 I think this scenario is highly likely. If Chadwell really is all that, then we will have him (if we have him) for a limited time only, because he will make the big $ and coach for a natty some day. But not at Tech. Meanwhile, Key will be earning his stripes and longing to get back to...

I like a lot - maybe even all - of what you're saying. I would love to hear a reporter ask, "Coach, your OL has struggled badly over the past four years...can you tell us why that has been the case?" Another poster pointed to Collins' preference for measurables, and that post made sense, IMO...

LNJ, I don't need to convince you (or any others clamoring for wholesale change). Y'all can decide for yourselves. But I love a challenge, so... ;) If you're in charge of a manufacturing plant, you're gonna need resources to produce the product: raw materials, employees to run the machines...

Here's the question that no one seems to be considering: What if Chadwell already turned us down? And my follow-up: how likely is that?

If that is true, then how do you account for the sudden improvement in the team's performance since TFG left?

Fair enough. But the consensus seems to be that the former CEO was meddling in places where he shouldn't, allocating resources poorly, and focusing on marketing to the neglect of developing a good product. That dragged the whole company down.

And real life is open book, open note, phone a friend. With a few notable exceptions there are no engineering fails...just design changes until the damn thing works!
