Since most schools run pretty much the same plays with different emphasis (Kansas State runs the QB a lot, Michigan runs their TB, ect.) I doubt knowing the plays in a standard playbook would help any opponent much. It sure won't tell them when or against who certain mixes of plays will be run...
  2. Spring Game Expectations.

Yes and from the camp buzz that's too bad. This guy did just about everything in high school and did it all well. I always want to see new players like that. Supposedly another really fast young man. Looks like Tech has legions of them.
  3. Spring Game Expectations.

Right decent QB too. I think he wasn't able to show his main strengths given the format of the game. The young man can run. He wasn't able to fully show that since there was a "No runs for you!" rule in place. Both Pyron and King suffered from that. And, while he is no slouch in this department...

Despite his departure and the rancor involved, Sims is a Tech man in my book. He led us to some notable wins and his lack of development wasn't, imho, his fault. If he comes back to finish out his Tech degree and wants to help the team and the coaches think he is sincere about it and he has the...
  5. Spring Game Expectations.

    And Alexander too, btw.
  6. Spring Game Expectations.

Yes, but the real change is that he has learned how to be an RB. Especially in following his blocks, something most WRs have little idea how to do. I don't know how well he will do in the season to come, but he'll look like an RB doing it. Cooley and Currie looked pretty good too. Imho.
  7. Spring Game Expectations.

My bad. Powell-Lee. And, of course, it's Bailey Stockton. Don't know how I made that one since I've been aching to see him play, especially when Philo is on the field. Looks like the combo is working just like ti used to.
  8. Spring Game Expectations.

Well, as I said, I couldn't go. Sprained ankle. So I watched some of it. First, Philo is as advertised. That young man can throw. Any pass, any route, any situation. Nice touch as well. The commentators were saying he might push Pyron for #2. I don't think he'll take it quite yet, but the...

My wiufe has done that three times. The deer love her.
  11. Spring game Roll Call

Can't do it as of now. I sprained my ankle last Wednesday and prospects for it coming around by game time don't look promising. We'll just have to see. Btw, where do we park?
  12. Spring Practice

As usual, there's a lot of coach-speak there. It's hard to say how the coaching staff will meld and what our results will be as a consequence. I think the O side is pretty steady and the D side has potential. But that's why we play the games: to see if the players and coaches have been able to...

I'm quite pleased with Biggers. At a more muscular weight he could be more of a factor. The guy has talent, but he sometimes fagghed out in games, as he would be the first to admit. But, Zeke, hard work pays off. Keep it up!
  14. Coach Key's hat

Ok, it's petty slick. What I want - and they are just as scarce - is an engineer's cap like Maxie Baughan used to wear. Any ideas? I need a new Tech hat. My old one is falling apart. I refused to buy one of the 404 hats.

I think what a lot here don't seem to realize is just how big moving and music production are in Georgia. The state took a hit from the pandemic and some of the recent legislation passed from the Gininal Azzembli but the production costs here a low enough that we'll slowly draw the business...
  17. Parking for 2024?

Btw, I got my parking passes sorted out. Thanks again to this board and especially to Vespid. There is absolutely;y no doubt that I would have missed the deadline. I always do that.

Yes and, so far the,y don't appear to be up for fixing it. When I think of this it reminds me of Griqua's Prayer: ":Oh, Lord, our situation is dire. Please come and help us. But don't send your Son as this is not a time for children." Jan Smuts usually gets the blame for this.

What I like about this is the "we brought the right kids in" stuff. I was a good friend of one of our chief admission officers at my college. I asked him what the most important thing about college admissions was. He answered at once,"Don't recruit problems." That's it in a nutshell. If you...

First off, I'm so there with you. I hate the commercialization of college football in all its forms and varieties. I would go along with abandoning the P5 to get away from it. I don't want players to get millions and I sure as Hell don't want coaches to get the outrageous salaries they get today...
