If there is a new DC coming maybe they are sitting in waiting to see if he wants to hire them. Maybe CBK is letting the new DC do his defensive hiring, subject to CBK's approval. Then they answer to the new DC if they are hired.

We need defensive players at every position when they're potential upgrades, definitely edge, DLs, LBs with good instincts. Not sure what we need offensively, probably RBs for sure.

Linebacker appears to be so instinctive to me so I expect there's a learning. Before it becomes instinctive which then allows them to play fast and hard. That's just my two cents worth

I've always thought there was a fan base out there for us, we just have to put the product on the field that they will support. I believe our Pres, AD and CBK will get it done in the not too distant future.

If our FB goes the pay route rather than the amateur route will the BOR have any say?

I could see the schools participating in the pay players system also having amateur sports for all the rest of the sports. I'm guessing GT will be in the pay the players system based on a few things that have been said. Atlanta carries a lot of weight in that system.

Because of portal/recruiting being so different now I imagine most firings will take place before end of season. New coach needs to be able to try and hang onto whatever he wants to hang onto. We may be interested in some 'cuse players.

I expect the money problem at AZ is just the beginning of money problems all across higher education over the coming years. Many, many will fold as the institutions they are today. They will not be missed IMO. Technology/engineering institutions will survive I'm guessing.

Clemson game proved there is a big difference in what we're doing there and what they are doing. Just not sure what the difference consist of.

Those 2 drops early seemed to deflate our QB and the team and put some confidence into the Clemson mindset. Can't do that with really talented teams which Clemson definitely is. Not sure we would have won the game without the 2 drops. Someone mentioned we need to throw to our other receivers...

We may need to make some TDs originating from outside the red zone. I agree, we have to win the turnover battle to have a chance.

I'm guessing if the truth were known the real in charge guy calling the shots for the OU defense is Venables, Roof probably fits in the role needed for that situation very well.
