    understood and I understand the motivation, but we are what we are. Hoping for throngs of sidewalk fans just seems a waste of time to me but I'm sure others will keep trying. Emory students are not a reservoir of pent up demand for GT football, IMHO.

    Oldest daughter just graduated from Duke. Other than MBB they don’t care about sports. Emory is like Duke without MBB.

    My wife went there when I was at GT and I had friends from HS who were there Back then the average Emory student couldn’t care less about NCAA fb or GT. I highly doubt that’s different today

    Literally this has not happened. Ever. Atlanta wasn't behind us in 1990, nor after any good period of GT football. Sidewalk fans is a mirage. Have heard this aspiration for over 30 years and we're still waiting.

    Moncken still seems to do ok against better talent but you’re right. The NCAA found another way to screw GT. (Full disclosure - I’m still in the camp of run an option based offense because you can max the results with the talent you can get).
