Like I said, I'll be satisfied with 6 wins. That's only 1 less win than the roster of the previous coach who had 11 years to fit the game to the players he has. If Collins can take CPJ's TO-based roster and win 6, it'll be a good sign that things are going in the right direction. Anything...

speaking for myself only, I'm not expecting much next year. The cupboard at the end of 2018 is much more bare than it was at the end of 2007. We've got some talented kids but they were recruited for a different system than what they've been thrust into now. Expectations should be realistic...

I've seen some dispersion directed at Collins already. Snarky type stuff. The people who liked CPJ and his scheme aren't going to be happy if another coach and scheme wins, as it will disprove the notion that CPJ was the best coach we could possibly have, which I've seen repeated as nauseum...

JT was a good passer but we seldom threw it more than 10X a game with him as QB.

I think we need to get away from the QB being a big part of the run program. The last 2 years were difficult to watch and easy for the good teams on our schedule to defend, as our record indicates. I don't know LJ's speed (he's a big unknown, for as long as he's been here, strangely enough)...

The throwing ability of our QBs is certainly an unknown. If Pat's offense is run with a lot of shotgun, Graham may be a good fit since that's about all he did in HS. I do hope we throw it at least 35% of the time. We'd become extremely one-dimensional and predictable at the end of the last...

If LJ or Graham turns out to be a good thrower, we'll be fine.

If we improve on CPJ's dismal defenses, we don't have to have 600 yards/offense per game to win. Though that didn't help us vs USF! :wtf:
