  1. Teacher Salaries

Put the soapbox away and come down a bit.
  2. Almost all 2018 schedules up except ACC

Well now. Particular schedule is on us.
  3. Almost all 2018 schedules up except ACC

It really upsets me that people complain about our complaining.
  4. Biggest issue to fix, going into next season

One can name all the things already named. But the 10-year sample of Paul Johnson is he wins with offense, he just flat out outscores somebody. So you know what? What I would like to see fixed most of all is the spirit crushing touchdowns our defense give up within two minutes of playing time...
  5. Your favorite Gailey, Gailey

In case the BP needs a jump start, Chan Gaily has been named to the 2018 Alabama Sports Hall of Fame. (Swinney made it too, and they managed to get his NC championship win in without naming the opponent.)...
  6. 3 Injuries that Impacted this Season

If he says so but I don't understand that at all. If the coach advises him not to play ... why doesn't he stop him? He is the coach, after all, and almost none of my directions from a coach came as a suggestion.
  7. 3 Injuries that Impacted this Season

Whether or not you have any interest at all in things engineering? Hardly a recipe for success.
  8. 3 Injuries that Impacted this Season

Well, injuries impact everybody. But: the only one you noe that might have affected Tech was Jordan. I am not sure he was anointed the starter. You may be right, but I don't recall Johnson saying that. If he we might have thrown better but run worse. The off-trail injury kid was literally years...
  9. Wisconsin

You cannot possibly be serious. He has to be the only coach in the country who didn't want us this year. Why in the world would he be afraid? Not to mention that hurricane thingy.
  10. 3 top 10 team played and beat 1 in top 20!

That is the question. Pay the man. It is one Johnson has to decipher over the winter, as well as ... Georgia. I did not think at any time leading to that game that we were going to win, barring another late miracle. I did think we would be competitive, or at least hoped so. But I wasn't wearing...
  11. 3 top 10 team played and beat 1 in top 20!

We lost that game for one very simple reason: effort. Of which we had none. And of which Duke came loaded. Everything else is eyewash and piffle. After all, we had a chance to get bowl eligible, too. We try, we play hard, we win. We don't, we start inventorying excuses.
  12. 3 top 10 team played and beat 1 in top 20!

Somebody once asked Sandy Koufax why he bore down so hard on poor hitters, when he could let up, rest a batter, and still get them out. Instead he went after the quick out with his good stuff. ".220 hitters hit .220 for a reason," he said.
  13. Well we made the front page of TMZ

To me the whole thing seems curious and not much else. Any parents with a college-age football player has been through all sorts of teenage scuffles, though clearly -- we hope -- not as serious as knocking somebody out -- and not much else will be made of it than that.
  14. 3 top 10 team played and beat 1 in top 20!

A question for wise men to sit atop the mountain and ponder through the ages. Followed, probably, by "Why don't they pass more?"
  15. Well we made the front page of TMZ

Ain't life in the new millennium grand? Everybody watches the video, I'm betting probably more than once, and we all profess astonishment anybody would post it.
  16. Rational Off-season Discussion Thread

I think that after 10 years there might be a message here: Johnson is an offensive coach and defense is what is on the other side of his option. It is entirely possible, and given fails already, that a third DC is just moving the deck chairs about, and it makes no never mind who it is. Defense...

Shoot, he and Washington swapped so much it was hard to keep track of either.
  18. Rational Off-season Discussion Thread

Second time he turned them down.
  19. Rational Off-season Discussion Thread

Johnson, unlike Navy, never moves a starting QB out. He just doesn't. It's like being married. Marshall is the guy and will be all next season, dreadful passing, painful reads and all. We won't see much triple option, again, but all those alternate options he ran this year will be there. They...
  20. Well we made the front page of TMZ

Well, yes they do. But I am glad they did. This season now is coming into better focus with stuff like that between teammates. I read something similar happened at Clemson, though it was a planned sparring match, and Swinney got wind of it and was all over them. This, however, was not sparring...
