You're missing the point of the post you were replying to. He said it's fine to be worried about Ga. State. And you can't be serious about "similar players and staff" after we completely turned over our defensive staff.

I would need to watch it again but I don't recall those two fourth-down conversions being the result of bad tackling. And getting them into fourth-down situations twice was likely the result of good tackling.

Listening to how all of the players responded in the interviews above, it’s very clear that not overlooking your next opponent is a coaching point of emphasis now. “Our next opponent is our best opponent.”

This surprised me. Seems like there are at least a half-dozen injury time-outs in most games. I don't recall any for either team. Maybe the lack of hurry-up offenses and cooler weather?

I know Run The Ball is our DNA, but I would love to see us put on a passing clinic if either Ga St. or Cuse goes all-in to stop our run game. After that, opposing coaches are going to be thinking "How do we stop them?"

Birr is solid. Don't want to sound negative, but his game stats are diminished by his miss on the 51-yarder, and FSU's kicker putting on an incredible performance. Either way, I'm happy to have Birr as our kicker.

Agree. The damage that was done to our program from 2019-2022 runs far deeper than TFG's buyout. Thank goodness we seem to have the right internal support now to help us climb back up.

You are correct, and so is @stinger 1957, in that it will take sustained winning to build up the fan base enough to remain loyal through losses and down periods. It’s kind of like banking our goodwill – we build it up after a good win, but then it’s easily depleted after a head-scratching loss...
