I think it depends. If you self identify as a GOAT, then it’s ok. But if they refer to you as a GOAT, even if it’s complimentary ... it’s hate speech.

This is hilarious. An auto respeller changes the man’s own name to something someone else thinks he should be called. Asterisk-Man!

This is just a rant but ... under this idea, Flounder, Otter, Babs, Stormin Norman, Blood & Guts and other names from Americana are now taboo. You can’t even say **** Blumenthal now because the senator’s own name is banned. Sad. George Orwell was ahead of his time.

You can’t call him Peanut. That’s derogatory. You can call him “Arachis hypogaea”, his correct Latin name. Or, refer to him as a “Legume-American“ coach.

I get it. And you make a great point. Personally, I was a fan of keeping the TO but now ... and where CFB is headed, it's clear that can't work. We would forever fall into the mid-tier programs and probably not get out. Trends suggest that there's going to be 25 or so programs that are...

Bama's first round draft rate is TWICE that of D1. If you are a good player, your chances of being drafted in the first round are the best if you choose Bama. That is their recruiting advantage and it's pretty much untouchable.

Where did I say any of that? All you can do is the best you can do under the circumstances. As to the coaches, I can't comment on their game strategy because I'm not sure they have one. If they do, share it.

The scuttlebutt I hear is that Auburn feels like it is falling further and further behind under Malzahn. Or at least not moving forward.

The pressure is building to oust Malzahn. His buyout is down to $21 million and I was talking to a significant booster who played for Auburn earlier this week. He says it's being discussed to raise money and get rid of him.

Sunday mornings are always a good time for reflection. So, I was thinking ... "What is Geoff Collins Game Plan for Tech?" We're heard about his great recruiting, branding, etc. We haven't heard so much about winning games. I'll paraphrase a few comments to put some perspective in it...

I don’t think it’s breaking chairs so much as it is are there consequences for poor play? Look, you can only go to war with the army you have, not the army you hope to have. Most of us knew we would lose this game and we did. No surprise. Its the coaches that put kids in a position to win...
