  1. The season can start now... Midline Thread

You know we always ran the midline ( when i played) with a wrap block against the shade offset look, ( guard pulls around and leads for the b-back or qb through the whole). It is a little slower hitting of a midline though, but sometimes i've wondered if it wouldn't be a decent change for when...
  2. Pictures from Saturday's Practice

IF they are absolutely brand new helmets who cares its practice gear. Let your blood pressure normalize and chill the **** out.
  3. Pictures from Saturday's Practice

Um... Riddell still makes helmets we use. Adidas doesn't make helmets. those are all speedflexes https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/s/football-custom-helmets
  4. Film Room Confuse the Offense

You are only going to see this kind of movement against check with me teams. So expect it against clemson, UNC, Duke ( for a series after that cutcliffe will have duke running zone triple) and VT. Miami, georgie, UVA and Pitt really don't check at the line that often. Richt has gone to more of a...
  5. Athlon: ACC Coaches Talk Anonymously About Conference Foes for 2018

I bet the first coach talking about CPJ is dabo.
  6. Fantastic article about Dedrick Mills

I think a huge takeaway here is that CPJ kept contact with him. And helping him. And people say he's not a players coach.
  7. How the ACC sees Tech

We don't have a soccer program. Not sure why we don't though given our international student population you'd think it be a no brainer.
  8. Rushing yards vs. Alcorn State

Ok i actually think our rushing numbers will be down next year, but that has a little to do with what i have a feelign CPJ is going to do regarding the pitch. Due to the changes in perimeter blocking rules I have a feeling our pitch relationship is going to change from a trailign a-back to a...
  9. 7 on 7

That is the mind of a run first qb. There are progressions in our system that are just that First option, run, scramble to second option. They are a staple of run and shoot systems where you are running option routes on both sides. the QB can only read one reciever to see where he is. Most of...
  10. 7 on 7

Exactly, but "getting lit up" should be taken with a grain of salt. Usually the only reason you don't complete the pass is a drop or bad throw.
  11. 7 on 7

When you cant hit anyone the defense is at a severe disadvantage. I remember doing 7 on 7s at camps where we rolled an entire lineman team and we were still completing passes against a state champion secondary
  12. New Locker Room

I think what he's wanting is a slightly more modern center. weights and training/ rehab etc maybe something more high tech for the wow factor.
  13. Demetris Robertson

Dabo eventually landed teh Coardinator hires of all hires with Venables. A man that should probably have his own gig but clemson pays to keep him.
  14. Ranking ACC Teams - 5 year Record

Pauls more likely to retire than get fired.
  15. Demetris Robertson

Honestly not sure sweetness would have helped atl or had the career he had there. Bartkowski was a really good player for the falcons but he did a lot with bad o line play. Something that would have killed peytons career too
  16. A-Back's after 2018 season

    That's because we were
  17. Calvin Tosses a Jab(?) at CPJ ???

It actually takes a very different QB to do deaigned runs than a traditional dual threat who gains most of their rushing yards on scrambles.
  18. Calvin Tosses a Jab(?) at CPJ ???

Johnson chose to come to tech for family reasons , and he qualified with the bay bay comment. In reality he'd see probably more targets in this offense because he'd be one on one, just like Thomas.
  19. Redshirt Changes

Too bad its not retro active. TQ would be able to have an additional year of eligibility, so would a few lineman.
  20. USF Kickoff set

What if i told you could just drink at 11 am
