  1. Offensive lineman out friday???

Betcha played better immediately. One of those "statistics show" kind of things.
  2. Offensive lineman out friday???

I don't know much about pop culture, but when that kid throws the ball leaves his hand hot.
  3. Offensive lineman out friday???

Can you imagine that with the Clemson freshman QB?
  4. Arrests coming due to college bball kickbacks

I don't know if Pitino knew or not. I do know that if a major program's basketball coach does not know hookers are being provided recruits, it makes no difference. The whole team had to be buzzing with that, and no 18-year-old kid could keep his mouth shut over that kind of "conquest". Jeez...
  5. Offensive lineman out friday???

I think we ought to speculate, one by one, every offensive lineman on the team. Get them all out there. Why not? We are 2-3. They deserve it. Right?

It is a game that ECU always wants and generally NC State doesn't want to give, for obvious reasons. This one might be a really good one, though. And yes, it is good to see.
  7. Paul Johnson time frame.

What I would love to see, what I want to see, is one of those long, clock-chewing drives in the first half ending in a score, and then the defense getting a 3-and-out and not letting Louisville streak down the field to retaliate, a couple of more scores in the half, then take the second half...
  8. Paul Johnson time frame.

yet the offensive stats with a Clemson exception, and the always are, don't reflect that. Leading the nation in rushing? Somebody didn't catch up. It is just not that simple.
  9. Paul Johnson time frame.

I don't. What does that do to your argument?
  10. Paul Johnson time frame.

I think I will just stick with the argument: what has Johnson done? Much easier.
  11. Paul Johnson time frame.

So let me pose thusly: The SI piece quotes Johnson that, even as the triple option grows in popularity, his version is the last vestige of the under-center options. The Navy coach now is apparently visiting shotgun option teams for ideas he and Ivin Jasper can incorporate into an already...

    a) you are talking millions; b) you are talking about a guy fired, by definition a retread; c) and yes, it is wishful thinking. Thank goodness. I am not a fan of "fire the coach" dialogue, with anybody, but if that is the discussion it should be about the art of the possible.
  13. Georgia Tech (-3.5) @ Louisville

YPC, I know, is a big stat for lots of people. I suppose it should be. I am more concerned with PPG, and not in the basketball sense.
  14. Georgia Tech (-3.5) @ Louisville

The thing is Van Gorder did lock up our offense when he was at ND. Don't think he will, though. Petrino is just one of those coaches that maks every other coach want to beat him like Gene Krupa. Must be his motorcycle.
  15. Georgia Tech (-3.5) @ Louisville

I got a feeling that prime time might be the best thing to happen to this team and to the coach. Turn up the lights and see how they play.
  16. Paul Johnson time frame.

Sugiura wrote a pretty decent piece on Paul Johnson and views from supporters/fans and the pressure building on him to win. Pretty much down the middle and a good read. https://www.ajc.com/sports/college/pressure-rising-paul-johnson-but-long-ways-from-decision/YtQdZDbMcfKBgYNBsnI0SJ/

Boy, Taggert and Fuentes didn't even hang up their coats, did they?
  18. Georgia Tech (-3.5) @ Louisville

I will hold my nose as my mother would have said, and did, and given VT's ACC connection, hope they hang 50 on ND.
  19. Georgia Tech (-3.5) @ Louisville

Now see, right away we go into a week when ND and VT are playing, and FSU and Miami. Just a shame that one of them has to win.
  20. ACC Football Thread

The short answer is no. Every recruit for every position knows that there is competition for every position, every week. If anything they think Bryant bailed on them, even as they are sympathetic. Saturday was a signature win for Clemson and Swinney. He stayed true to his culture of 10 years...
