  1. GT... where making the Iron Man suit is possible

I am not a Tech graduate, but, this may be the best sales pitch I have heard in my 71+ years. You Tech people need to spread this around the world. IronJacket7, way to go!
  2. new energy around the team

Nice positive article. Now if the team can handle the injuries, then...........!
  3. Gotsis Article in USA Today

He did not redshirt because he was to good to be sitting on the planks.
  4. Tuesday Practice Notes

Look folks, injuries are part of the game. If Finch is out it goes to Beno, or perhaps O'Reilly is he can improve a whole lot in the next 3 weeks. Most teams do not go through a season without injuries on the OL. Sure I would like to go through the 12 games with the best starting 22 not...
  5. A few injury notes

New depth chart out and #84 Summers is listed as the #1 at one of the WR positions. But still listed as injured. ????
  6. Stanford is a better program than GT

From Sports Illustrated: For what it is worth. "Many major football programs are granted a certain number of "special admits" per recruiting class. Stanford is adamant that every player goes through the school's regular, stringent application process. (All of the schools profiled here are...
  7. Orwin Smith (NFL draft video)

Smith is not on the Bucs roster. Only Tech guy is Economos at snapper.
  8. Stanford is a better program than GT

Interesting discussion. I will stay out of the discussion but I will throw both teams records on the table. Tech's record from 1970 thru 2012 - 272 - 230 - 8 - 510 total games Stanford record same period of time- 256 - 233 - 8 - 497 total games
  9. Camp Blitz - Offense

I would agree that Thomas will get in the game at QB. He has a completely different top end skill set - pure speed. After chasing Lee, Godhigh, Sims and others around for a quarter the defense will say "oh crap!" when he hits the corner at 4.3.
  10. Camp Blitz - Offense

"Vad needs to continue making reads and seeing things quicker..." Johnson will be saying this the day before Vad's last game his senior year.
  11. Depth Chart

And appropriately is he is wearing Julian Burnett's old number, 40!
  12. Depth Chart

"Not to belabor semantics..." I agree, but since we are on the subject. A lot of the running plays have two options. So it is an option offense. Just not a "triple" option, except for 2 plays.
  13. Depth Chart

Guys let's agree to one thing: The Depth Chart released this PM says "Offense (Spread Option)". Please do not call the offense a triple option. Thanks And, it looks like it has been musical chairs on uniform numbers. And, with injuries about what was expected.
  14. BYU suffers a huge loss

Eric, Excellent work on your 9:16 report. This is what separates you guys from the other sites, work. Good job! We onlookers will try to help as we can.
  15. 8/10 Scrimmage Notes

From the roster on GT13 - for whatever its worth............. 18 Tim Byerly QB 6-0 212 RS SO
  16. 8/10 Scrimmage Notes

How did O'Reilly look at center?
  17. 2013 Signee Review - Travis Custis

This quote from ramblinwreck's write up says it is Clearinghouse only: ""Travis is going to be taking care of some academic clearinghouse issues, and we expect him to join us in January." " Is he still in school?
  18. 2013 Signee Review - Travis Custis

Quote from Ken's ajc piece: "“Travis is taking care of some academic issues, (NCAA) Clearinghouse issues, and we expect him back in January,” Johnson said following the team’s Saturday morning scrimmage." This says that there are 1. academic issues, which I guess keeps him out of school, and 2...
  19. Introduce yourself

I guess it is better late than never on introductions. I like to say I am a lifelong Tech fan, but that is really incorrect. I only became a Tech fan on January 1, 1952, at the age of 9, when Pepper trotted out on the field and nailed a 22 yard 4th quarter field goal to give Tech a 17 – 14 win...
  20. Article Season Preview: Georgia Tech

Fascinating predictions. A 10-2 means that Tech beats 3 of the following five: VT, UM, BYU, Clem & UGA. I pray it is so.
