He could still call plays on saturday and have an OC hired. When I say hire an OC i mean hire another renowned offensive mind to build a new offense. And have someone to run the offensive practices so he can float more.
I wouldn't be so sure it wouldn't happen. Apparently he wanted to do it in 2012 and was not given the money for it. He wanted to hire an OC particularly for Vad. I could see him doing it this offseason. A new OC hire would probably fill the need for blood a lot of people have. Showing he's...
Use to is the key. It wasnt just athletes that could do that it was anyone in ivan allen and some of the business school. I had a friend who did IA I think that didnt take it until junior year i think.
Ok but your boy can't even recruit at APP state with no restrictions relative to his peers hows he going to do here.
If we had a new coach next year he'd have James Graham. As for an H-back for satterfields offense we have some smaller OL that could fill that roll or we could use Jordan mason...
People need to realize if you look at paul johnson in a vaccuum here is what you get before he came to tech
you have a coach who was
107 - 39
45-29 as Independent at navy
2 FC championships in 3 appearances
2 and 2 in bowls
Appeared in the playoffs every year he was in the FCS
38 game regular...

I know i probably come off a lot defending johnson and pointing out our limitations like excuses. But I do know what we need, the realist in me knows though that what we really need to get out of this problem we can't do. People are judging johnson based on what he could do with less resources...
I have always said we need a true sports management degree, it should only require statistics and a few finance classes from math.
I'd also like an actual kinesology department. That would go along well with our bioengineering and biology departments.
No because the reasons strong couldn't make texas work aren't going to magically get better here. a Former five star QB isn't going to transfer into tech and run his system. And he's not recruiting one either.
Strong may have failed at texas but he's a great coach. He made something out of nothing at lousiville and is doing well at USF, he could have also sat a year after texas and probably picked up a higher level job. The guy likes to coach.
