And it will be Paul Johnson as the OC. Just doing only what he likes.
  3. Paul Johnson to retire

We did, we actually didn't see many 4th downs all year. mainly just in clemson, uga, pitt and duke. we failed to convert 3 in clemson, 3 in duke, and 3 in uga. And prior to wells, we went for it on 4th and 6th a lot accross the 50.

  6. Confused by Tony Elliott Support

Tenuta's scheme doesn't really work against the quick passing game. His scheme based on keeping them from having time for intermediate throws and punishing short completions. You can't actually punish those the same way anymore due to rule changes. That's why his defensive style is dead.
  7. If hired who will Whissenhunt get as his O.C.? D.C.?

Pro offenses are definitely more subtle in their difference, i might make a post on this if we end up with wisenhunt, I prefer the college game because it use to eb more varied.
  8. If hired who will Whissenhunt get as his O.C.? D.C.?

That is one type of "pro" offense. You speak more of a west coast version.
  9. If hired who will Whissenhunt get as his O.C.? D.C.?

Once he finishes his degree. I think he'll make a fine receivers coach.
  10. If hired who will Whissenhunt get as his O.C.? D.C.?

If we get wisenhunt. DC i'd like to see us try hard to keep woody ( though i have a feeling appstate is going ot offer him the HC gig.) I want a 3-4 or 3-3-5 stack guy for defense. I think this fits our personnel best. allowing us to play to our ability to seemingly recruit DB's but not...
  11. Confused by Tony Elliott Support

OK first to the poster that insinuated CPJ quit because he retired. If he had quit he would have done so spurrier style mid season after clemson. Instead he helped us turn it around and he is leaving the Team at least in the condition he found it, a 7-8 win squad. The man's been coaching for 40...

  13. Georgia Tech vs Minnesota

The good news is when our players feel disrespected they usually play better.
  14. Cut Blocking

The rule change was definitely to target running offenses ( ours is not the only one that cuts, you see cut blocking on any running scheme. Hell the singleback toss crack concept is basically our rocket toss and relies on backside cutting and cutting the backer.
  15. [Poll] Out of pure curiosity - Did you attend Georgia Tech?

I know for a fact that calc 1 and 2 at southern and at uga are 23 person classes. Again you missed the point. I was not arguing that most tech caliber students should be able to handle it. Your reading comprehension leaves a little to be desired. I was displaying how the environment can chew up...

Lol, I am an alum fan that doesn't fit any of your little stereotypes. And no to anyone with half a brain in engineering calculus isn't hard. The calculus thing comes up in reference to negative recruiting. The perception is that calculus is hard, and to be honest if your entire high school...
