Our defense *should* get all the credit, because our defense fuels our offense. Without the fast breaks we create with steals etc, our set offense isn't *that* good. It's good, but certainly not Top 20 good.
I agree completely with your statement, except that I still believe that Duke is a "must-win" game for us to get into the NCAA's.
But that's just me. Otherwise, you are correct...poor journalism. Plus, I don't know when that was written, but we are playing well right now, and are definitely 'on...
Seriously? This is the NCAA Tournament. The NCAA thinks very little of us. Lunardi doesn't even have us on his radar, and I suspect his opinion is reflection of what the committee will do.
I'm not saying we definitely won't get in, but even with the scenario you outline, I could easily see us...
Duke is playing MUCH better now that Jalen Johnson has departed, I suspect they will beat GT again here in ATL.
My guess is we go 2-2 in our remaining 4 games and will need a magical ACC Tourney run to get an invite to the NCAA's.
Prove me wrong Jackets!
I don't disagree, but with the way we pitched, it sounded ot me more like we beat ourselves, not that we got beat. That always is going to drive me nuts!
I did not get to watch any of this game, but the box score looks like a nightmare for our pitching. TEN walks, 4 WP, and why, oh why did we leave Dal Smith in to get hammered?
Just cannot pitch that poorly and expect to be a top program. I am extremely disappointed.
You still interested? I tried to respond but haven't heard back (I might have done something wrong). I'm not sure I can transfer them after 2PM...need your cell number
