WE were killed in air by pitt and outplayed really by dook. Almost anything is an improvement.Different players, varying def calls, new subbing patterns, are all ideas.

The biggest need is Oline improvement.If they were better we could run and our Off would be tough---- PLUS help the def. by keeping the ball. The most disappointing part of team is the DBs. We have too much talent(I thougt) to play like that .dook (like others) killed us. The old guys...

Several things gave pitt advantage-- --- really weak warm-up game--they saw what happened to unc and PREPARED---we were over-confident----they had a 6th yr QB---maybe the coaches blow-up was motivation---CG and his coaches are recruiters basically ,not game directors

also--take a look at "poor" wake forest-- er, 5-0 and rolling-- 8k students school in the middle of nowhere but with coaching that is outstanding

The biggest problem on Off is a poor running game.Of course that is mainly the Oline.Today we have a huge amount of pass yds but 3 for 15 on 3rd/4th and then redzone breakdowns.That is because of no running. Key and/or Pat ought to be called out.

Not to be negative, but Carp and JT are both performance rated to date this season in bottom half of 440 safeties in US by a rating service . for ex-JThomas missed the sure tackle on Howell on the 1st TD.They are better than last yr but still average at this point.

Nobody has mentioned that BLOCKED punt early.What a MESS.It looked like our biggest blocker was a TE. The rest were DBs? They just overloaded and came. BAD BAD coaching.It could have made a big difference in game. btw--do we have ANYONE that can drop a punt inside the 10 ? Shanahan sure can't.

We could very well win this game but I want to see us to win a close one--lets see us with the pressure of ---stopping pitt inside 10, making a winning FG outside 40, going on a last 2 min drive, or coming back from key 3rd and 18 on 3rd down in 4th qtr. maybe 31-28 pitt
