    CFP Discussion

Let’s say Penn State, FSU, Notre Dame, and Texas go undefeated. Let’s say UGA and LSU have one loss each, and UGA’s loss is to LSU. Or, just for fun, say UGA’s only loss is to us. Which undefeated team are you sending home? Texas and Notre Dame are arguably more popular than any SEC team. Penn...

GT vs #17 Ole Miss GAME THREAD

I have a lot of problems with the talent composite, but they definitely re-rate transfers in that metric. They use the transfer rating and not the high school rating. They have both numbers, and they have a database—it’s simple for them to use the “transfer” rating. Recruiting services have...

    CFP Discussion

The odds of a 1-loss SEC champ competing with 4 undefeated teams for 4 slots for the CFP are microscopic. But, if it’s a one-loss SEC team against undefeated Penn State, Texas, Notre Dame, and FSU, then my answer is “yes, the SEC stays home”. I don’t see UGA losing, but if they did, then...

If you had FSU, TX, ND, and Michigan or Penn State undefeated and a 1-loss SEC champ (say UGA loses the SEC championship game), then it’s possible the SEC gets left out.

I thought they looked like the worse team, but they won by two TDs.

    You’re right—this is the last 4-team year

He was a defensive coach. If he had OC experience, I think they’d have him on campus tomorrow. As a defensive analyst, I can see him working next week—or in an NFL job

Has the cycle started to shift for the SEC?

Usually, the SEC West is considered the tougher division. I’d love to have the talent that Alabama has, and their shot at the CFP. LSU, Alabama, and Texas A&M were preseason favorites for the playoffs—all of them have one loss after two games. Each of them might make the playoffs with two...

They’re tied with the Panthers in game #1, but the Panthers look better. If you like a team with a soft defense and a subpar OL, have I got a team for you.

    Louisville Post Game

I saw some of Tulane v Ole Miss. Tulane had heart and scheme. Ole Miss had better athletes. Tulane did very well to hang in the game. (Just My Humble Opinion)

    Postgame GT 48 : SCST 13

I listened to a lot of the play-by-play on the radio. For me, Joe Hamilton is great—he understands the game, and tells me what players are doing. He’ll tell you who is having a good game and why. He watches the defense like a QB—guess we all know why—and understands why certain players do what...

Has the cycle started to shift for the SEC?

Lots of churn in the top 25. Tulane and T A&M will probably be out. Miami should be in. Clemson will stay in because people didn’t see the first half of their game. UNC squeaked by AppState. FSU looks like the strongest in the ACC right now—who else is making a move? PAC 10 will have a good...

Keion White drew double teams. That moved his numbers down, but made everyone else more effective I watched the DL in the second half. No double teams were needed

Offense scored a lot. They should have. Defense gave up 13. That wasn’t good. Wide receivers look great. The lines, not so much. Advanced stats probably will be underwhelming. Ole Miss is winning right now.
