    ACC Standings

And I wondered if this thread would stay updated From BlueSky https://bsky.app/profile/bubbaprog.ilovecitr.us/post/3k6mkvdy2i42q

    Louisville Post Game

Clayton Powell Lee and LaMiles Brooks are both difference makers. There are a few ways this game could have turned out A disaster A statement game where we announce we’re one of the contenders A solid win A clear “they’re out of your league” loss A lucky fluke win An unlucky fluke loss A...

    Conference Realignment

Ugh. Sounds like we may need to spin off Finebaum into his own thread :(

    ACC Standings

There were only two conference games in week 1, which puts Louisville at the top of the conference and us on the bottom. Duke plays Clemson tonight, which will update the standings SCHOOL ACC OVERALL Louisville 1-0 1-0 Florida State 0-0 1-0 Miami 0-0 1-0 NC State 0-0 1-0 North...

Hmm. I saw a couple in the ESPN stats.

    Turnovers and Special Teams

More stats-nerdiness, based on the expected points and WPA, from GameOnPaper. It’s not turnovers, but I’ll start with special teams. Punting was a net positive, but FG and kickoffs hurt. Based on field position, our kickoff units just about cost us a touchdown—between back field position for us...

    Conference Realignment

I guess it fits into the “no attention is bad attention”. For ESPN, someone like Paul Finebaum cost much less to produce than a football game. If he sells better ads than a Tac Shaver and a Spurtle, then he can talk about mutant salamanders for weeks on end as far as they care. I’m going to...

Can we talk about Haynes King last night? What are yall's thoughts about him, our offense going forward?

I don’t know if that’s Faulkner changing things up, or if it’s Key, or if the players relaxed at halftime when they should have gotten hungrier.

    Louisville Post Game

That was the biggest play of the game, but there were lots of chances to win it. We don’t need a flexbone, but option plays can act like an extra blocker or two, and we have the QBs to make that work. We also tried some H back plays with the TEs and didn’t get much out of that.

    Louisville Post Game

Here are a few more numbers on the game (again, from https://gameonpaper.com/cfb/game/401525462). These are defensive numbers. I’m not going to say whether Thacker can call a defense, etc. First big number is “stop rate”—on what percentage of plays your defense is on the field did they get a...

    Coach Prime to Colorado

He probably would have done really well here, and filled up the dome. He has a ton of doubters—I’ve seen some predictions for a losing season. He’s jumped into the new reality of semi-pro with transfers and NIL with both feet, and he’s ready for the new era of CFB. He looks like he’s gonna do well.

    Coach Prime to Colorado

Season tickets are up a ton, and there is a ton of excitement, but early on I saw some writers say Colorado may still be spending well into the red even with that.
