At this point we'd be fortunate to have Taco Mac as the name. Or The Cheetah.

No. I'm sure he would regard his clock management as "elite".

I think he's saying it wasn't the secondary. But he does have a way with words. I had to listen twice to figure out what he said.

Asked about that in the presser, it went something like this ... "One thing that really jumps out is the long passing game for BC. They had four different receivers bumping up against 20 yards per catch and 15 yards per throw, which obviously doesn’t help the whole story. But it’s a problem...

Look at the bright side. Geoff has 50% more wins this year than Butch Jones.

We are now one of the worst P5 programs in the country.

OK, #BCvsGT Postgame. BC wins 41-30

In 2 years, Lane Kiffin has a better winning percentage at Mississippi than Ole Miss's previous ten coaches. You have to go back to 1971 to find a better one. Coaching matters. Money Down? Not so much.

OK, #BCvsGT Postgame. BC wins 41-30

The question they should ask is "Do you take responsibility that the stadium is empty?"

Jack Lengyel was the coach who resurrected Marshall after the plane crash. He led them to a 9-33 record. Geoff is right on track.

Here's the quote: "As Bum Phillips said about Bear Bryant, “He can take his’n and beat your’n and then turn around and beat his’n with your’n.”

I think it was Bum Phillips referring to Bear Bryant.

If YOU see it, I'd be interested. What do you see that his approach is?

When I look at coaches I admire, you can write their strategy down on a single piece of paper. Bear Bryant said he didn't care what offense or defense he ran, so long as it produced the results (which he wrote down) he wanted. Measure to a result. Gene Stallings (who was Dabo's mentor) was the...

    Another win this season?

I don't mind wind sprints. I played basketball and if we screwed up, we had to 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and full court sprints and then ... fifty free throws in a row. It really sucked on a Friday afternoon when you are trying to go home and go out. One thing though ... free throws were pretty much...

If you look at the list of accomplishments across all of GT Athletics, TStan only mentions one thing specific to football ... "we increased the staff from 28 to 40." That's it. He also says that "competitive excellence is our goal" and that he has goals, action items, and metrics to track...

    Another win this season?

Per Bear Bryant, "You have to learn what makes this or that Sammy run. For one it’s a pat on the back, for another it’s eating him out, for still another it’s a fatherly talk, or something else. You’re a fool if you think as I did as a young coach, that you can treat them all alike." Bryant...

It is supposed to bring all the AA under one roof (they are spread all over campus right now) and provide state of the art nutrition, sport science, and other capabilities. As well as new seating for viewing the game.

Perhaps the team IS better. I know what broke the dam open at Tennessee is when players went public about locker room issues. I'm interested in what our players think.

Ticket sales were $8.6M in 2019 which is only 13% of total revenue. Even with a drop off of say, 10% renewals, this can be made up ... painfully, but not an insurmountable number. The real problem for GTAA is not revenue, it is interest on debt. We pay more for interest on debt than we do for...

    Another win this season?

I'll add to that. Doug Weaver was the AD. Dwayne Morrison was the basketball coach. We went 4-23 and 0-14 in conference play. Football was even worse. Petit was threatening to shut down athletics ENTIRELY. Kim King led a group of alumni into his office on the Hill and threatened him that if he...
