Film Room GT v VPI Slow Motion Review

Even though you kept calling Lynch Leggett (I think we're smart enough to know who you meant), this is more fine work, #Longestday. I knew we were having trouble getting the MLB a lot and on the play where he blew up the A back as we were driving toward north end zone, my buddies were wondering...

    Scholarship openings.

Until that rant and then .... We recruited Louisiana well back in the day - Greg Gathers, for one, Jason Peters (IIRC) and Darryl Richard. PJ said a couple of weeks ago we haven't recruited the metro DC area lately, even though we got Louis Young and Jeremiah Attachou from there, not to mention...

He knows. He knows. PJ's pretty quick on his feet when it comes to dispensing barbs.

Michael Summers Has Left the Team

his dad went to SC State, I think, but has worked at Georgia Southern for a long time and knows PJ pretty well, I believe. Dad's a good dude.

    Gotsis done.

Bumped into Gotsis after the FSU game. Obliged us in our slightly inebriated state to pose for a picture. A credit to the program and the institution. Hope he gets his knee back in shape quickly and represents GT well in the NFL.

Will are going to be loaded next year.

He may be a good guy, but he won't be coaching here under PJ. And frankly, he may never coach here. If he's out on the recruiting trail and denigrating Tech, should he be put on the staff, there's no way any high school coach could take him seriously once he starts trying to talk Tech up to him...

Will are going to be loaded next year.

But don't think the current staff and especially PJ go forgive and forget. That kind of stuff sticks with them, especially with PJ. If the guy wants to recruit for his school and talk up his own school, PJ doesn't have a problem with that. But if he cuts down another program and in particular...

SMH game is blacked out in Houston?!?

Went to Buffalo Wild Wings in Savannah to watch it and the Florida-Georgia game. They had a big screen reserved for the Tech game but it was blacked out on their satellite package. God must have known something because he didn't want us to watch that crap.

If he did, he'd get pulled off the beat immediately.

Sugiura Says Bowl Game in 2015/16 "Not Going To Happen"

that's how I read it, too. And Tech isn't the only program to lose money going to a bowl. Lots of em do. I read a piece a year or two ago on bowl costs for teams and Wisconsin lost money going to the Rose Bowl one year.

    Film Room GT v FSU

That's the one thing I said going into the game, that I didn't want to see us call the counter option because they were too fast for it. I think PJ may have outsmarted himself on that one. But he employed some formations that aren't used as much, like putting the A back at a TE spot. It seems...

    Radio Show

At his presser this morning, PJ talked about recruiting. The speaker at the Savannah Quarterback Club tonight was some guy from one of the recruiting services and he talked about the recruiting ratings and coaches. He said there is one coach who pays absolutely no attention to the recruiting...

The two TDs against the Trojans in the Sun Bowl, the TD pass to Perk against Pitt last year, Skov's two TD catches against ND this year - all short routes. So it's there. It may be getting covered in dust in the playbook, but it's there.

Georgia Southern is no option team

Southern's best wideout is out for the season. And it's a brand new OL, more in line with what Fritz likes, even tho he was pleasantly surprised at how good the line he inherited from Monken was. They got shut down by West Virginia in the opener. At least all mountaineer teams are out of the...

Really good after practice report today

This was one of the longest post-practice media gaggles PJ has done. Good banter back and forth, some good questions and a lot of honesty from PJ. He still sounds upbeat, even with five straight Ls.

A different perspective, point to ponder.

Buyout or no buyout, PJ isn't going anywhere anytime soon. First, he runs a clean program. Second, he graduates his kids. And if you don't think those two aren't top of the list on The Hill's checklist, I don't know what to tell you. Third, he has a track record of success. He's taken the...

    CPJ Radio Show tonight

Well, if PJ doesn't get along with Ken, ordinarily that means Ken will stay on that beat. Tech gobbled him up after a while. I think Matt may have been one of the folks who took the buyouts from the AJC, one of the several they've gone through in the last 10-15 years. I think the guy who was...
