I know I am not alone in loving to watch this offense. I see smiles on the faces of my friends as we go on a 9 minute drive up by 3 in the fourth. I also like knowing that the people we play hate to play us because of the offense.
I know the correct decision will be made concerning the QB . I have not been one to second guess PJ. I have not changed my thoughts on our staff and this year is not at all a make or break for me.. That being said, my excitement concerning JT is based on his physical talent not on his current play.
agree with your HS coaching satement. When I was coaching in Dekalb, most of the FB coaches started the clock on the players movement. I had 1st and 3rd place winners in 4A state 100 in 1984 that ran 4.54 and 4.57 out of the blocks on the gun just to prove a point after seeing the reported 4.3s...
JT ran a 4.28 at Alabama, which was the fastest time they recorded all year in workouts of all their prospects. He may be a step slower than the kid from Carrolton but he also has exceptional change of direction. The important thing to remember is just how slow 4.5 looks if your not...
Looks like you opened a can of worms on this statement. Tevin developed into a respectable qb . It become obvious last year why he was the starter over Vad to me. JT will become very respectable as well.
I did it again! I am part of the hype machine for two players that have not yet won the Heisman. Please edit any future comments concerning ----- and ------.
Laskey is a solid back. I am so past solid. I look forward to game 4 of our season so by then others will be on the Justin and Travis bandwagon. The fortunate thing for Laskey is he has several years in the offense and did not compete with a horse for playing time the past two years .
I agree with mark price but would add that the only running back I have seen in a gold uniform as a true freshman that could make you dream about tech football all night was Eddie Lee. I truly think he was the best of McClendon, William Andrews, and the back that went up to Clemson that year...
I agree with your thoughts on both our AD and of CPJ and his offense. If you look at VL on tape in hs and JT, I would think you would feel that JT fits much better. Vad brought hope for those people that wanted to dream about 200 yds passing and 200 yds running . I am not worried at all about...
When you look at tape on all of the A-Backs since 2008, the only back that has gained significant yards after contact- or making the first tackler miss has been Godhigh. I just want someone in this group to not just gain chunks of yards because of the system and a wide open sprint to the finish...
1. Justin Thomas will do just fine. 2. The Offense will be better. 3. The defense will drop back some with the loss of several seniors of impact. And as always, there will be people wanting CPJ gone.
The young man has cetainly been fun to watch but I am afraid he may fall short of all needed tools. Players of his size generally have supernatural qualities in other areas.
You do see 4.6 people in the backfield but they are not 5feet 6inches. Guys that are that size in the NFL are often...
So we should not pat our backs for doing more with less athletes than our acc members, we should just laugh at how badly they performed with their talent?
We always refer back to the 2007 class as the one we want to strive for with good reason. I would love to look at it from another angle. Just say that we signed less and the class did not include Donley, Threat and Willie White, the production and 1-8 players stay the same, but just where would...
This is great info. Thanks for taking the time. I always looked closer at offer sheets than ranking but you are taking the kids word on something that is not always the case. once again thanks for the insight and a new tool to help us understand. I hope it is not just me, but looking at our...
I know that when I have watched film on Whitehead he jumps out at you and makes me have similar feeling concerning his ability and importance to this class. I only looked at highlight film which doesnt tell the whole story. Does this guy look this good all the time? If so, I have seen many...
I believe you are on the mark. I will discuss times with anyone but the success of Custus will not be because he my not be as fast as Dwyer. By the way, Dwyers lack of success in the NFL is not because of his speed. He is as fast as Emmitt Smith who ran 4.55 and was considered a step slow for...
