Yeah, I didn't mean to imply that the kid wasn't a good player. He wasn't anywhere near Boone, IMO. But he was a good running QB and provided them with some good short yardage options.

Connette started 3 games while Boone was hurt. Duke went 1-2 in those games. And GT was one of them.

Falcons need a tackle but they need pass rushers much worse than they need another OT. Personally, I think Jake Matthews may be the most overrated player in this draft.

Sorry to hear about the young man's injury. I suppose that just means that now their starting QB is about as inexperienced as ours. One would think that improves our chances but I really don't know much about their QBs this year. With our luck, we now get the more athletic QB of the two.

Also, a Cubs game is more about drinking beer with your buds than necessarily the product on the field. Games at Wrigley are great fun. Great food, lots of beer.

I know the question wasn't directed at me, but I'll answer it. I would, of course, prefer that the offense scored more points per drive because I think that would then mean we might beat Clemson, Miami, Virginia Tech, and/or Georgia. But I would also much prefer that we changed the offense...

Yes and no. I don't think you have to be balanced as far as a 50/50 run/pass ratio but you certainly do have to be able to pass when the other team knows you are about to do so. And that's what I think Auburn showed. They were an 80/20 ratio run/pass but the difference between their system...

Godhigh putting up a 4.6 hand-timed means he would likely be around a 4.7 on the electronic timer at the combine. Great kid but he's not an NFL player. IMO, he'll end up playing in the Canadian Football League.
