Connette is leaving to be close to his mom who was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer. Connette had 27 total TD last year and if any of yall followed Duke yall would know he was their short yardage/goal line package.

Yeah, I didn't mean to imply that the kid wasn't a good player. He wasn't anywhere near Boone, IMO. But he was a good running QB and provided them with some good short yardage options.

I lost my 21 year old son to brain cancer last June after a 23 month battle and some of the images and nightmares that he went through have scarred me for life..... amazing that I have made it this far without him. Definitely one of the worst cancers to go through for the person and the family. My heart goes out to this young man and his family

You're in my prayers, yb. I'm so sorry for your loss. Cancer is such a terrible disease, I lost both my grandfather and aunt to it. Here's to hoping some of our bright young bme students at tech can help put a stop to it one day.
