In old news but interesting--Morris Joseph-the DL from memphis that decommited from us is now at awbern--an article in Ala paper says he is their dream come true.a SR DL with stats -----btw-never mentioned us at all.Yep, we could have used him --but we do have FIVE DB transfers--maybe we can...
Actually there is nothing in our recent record to show we are recruiting better and that is the ultimate way to judge. If you are getting better players ,your record should show it.
B,
EXACTLY what I was going to say.The OL is the key and unfortunately the outlook is not encouraging withthe experience lacking especially. It is like dominoes--when the OL goes flat the run game stops ,then the passing and then the DEF gets worn out. Sad but true.
Worry about the OL is well founded,A key part was losing our SR Center and now starting a soph that has little exp.The OL was a struggle in the Spring.(even snaps) Unless something HUGE changes next season will a be the same.
No surprise to me that Mike and Ish were very productive at Portsmouth. They carried our team almost completely last yrin a tough league.Without them ,what happens is probably not good at all.
The ONLY situation that I see for transfers to here is by guys that are (1) a 4/5th yr player that wants a Tech degree and/or (2) are from Atl area and want to come back and maybe (3) may be losing p/t to some young hotshots. . We really have little to sell right now. Its SAD.
Cuse,
On a completely different topic-sorry-- I ran across Syracuse Spring game on a ESPN channel I believe. Amazing, that the SEC would allow such.Is the Orange getting better?
THE OTHER problem for us is we still have a SEMBLANCE of a school with learning involved. We are not going to compete in the world that this crap is leading to.
If this coach can win 4 games next yr with this team and this schedule, he will be a miracle worker or just crazy lucky (with every semi-even opponent's QB getting injured somehow).
