I agree, if there is no season or it is cancelled or suspended then all activities will be cancelled/suspended. Because the reason that decision would be made is that it is not safe for individuals to be in those activities.
Every league both college and professional are trying to restart not...
FWIW, the NFL is planning on testing players 3 times per week and isolating any player who tests positive. Will be interesting if colleges end up with a similar protocol. (I expect that will be a not insignificant chunk of change to do all that testing)...
IMO this is one of the best things GT has ever done. I'm a big proponent of voting - haven't missed a vote since I turned 18 - Federal, state or local.
I can't imagine there would be any push from coaches at all in terms of who to vote for, that would be akin to a company telling its employees...
That SMU one is as plain as day. You are signing away any right for not only you but also your heirs and successors to sue SMU if anything happens to you due to COVID19, from injury to sickness to death.
Now keep in mind, courts have generally held that you can't just waive all rights, if the...
Ohio State football players had to sign an acknowledgement of risk waiver before they were allowed to start participating in any activities

FWIW, i think college football is one of the more likely sports to play this year right now, but until there is kickoff we won't really know.
It is also even more likely one of the few that might have some fans in the stands though I doubt it will be a full house - even with waivers.
Alot going...

I think the schools/conferences would play the games without fans if necessary becuase they cannot handle not getting the TV money. I don't expect there to be full crowds regardless. Whether there are any fans allowed will likely be determined by what happens in July/Aug as some of the models...
This is actually one of the issues that is going to have to be dealt with before they can ever have a kickoff and it is very different from the German soccer league where they are isolating the players (clearly that is not going to happen with SA's).
It's likely there are going to be programs...
So do I. He was #1 on my list and MBob did reach on to him but he had no interest in GT. He was only leaving his job for more of a blue blood type position.
This is a great article. Really gives you a sense of everything they went through to get to play a game. What it makes me think is that we are headed in the right direction, but we are a long ways from kickoff still and the path isn't all clear yet. There are so many details that have to be...
I posted this in the college football thread but will put it here as well.
With the growing number of Universities going to an abbreviated fall semester (starting earlier and ending by Thanksgiving, not returning until some point in January) how might that potentially affect college basketball...
I doubt it will be exactly like this (I expect it will be somewhat looser), But he Chinese Baseball Association (Taiwan) is playing their season. They are allowing 1,000 fans per game (average capacity of their stadiums are 20K). Fans are required to sit in specific seats and they have to wear a...
UNC has announced similar to Note Dame and South Carolina they will be modifying their fall schedule to start earlier and conclude classes by Thanksgiving...
Heck no.
If the numbers continue their slow decline that would suggest that the combination of percentages of people using various mitigation measures and warmer weather are more than offsetting the negative of more people being close to each other.
It wouldn't be luck, it would be a...
Right now we sort of are in a new normal with slow declines largely led by declines in the NYC area with the rest of the country basically being flat to some places with increases. Likely to be that way for awhile. That's alot better than where we were a month ago though. You have positive...
The revenue depends upon the University. A school like GT gets a much higher percentage of its athletic revenues from the conference TV contract. The blue blood type football schools get alot more money from other revenue than from their football contract. tOSU's AD said that if they were to...
Back on topic a little bit. Article talking about how college football may change going forward

Alot of things to chew over in this article...
