Candidly, I don't see how you can 1) excel in such a difficult degree 2) excel in D1 football with all its requirements and 3) somehow keep a successful relationship going at such a young age. I was able to handle several number 3's but not the other 2 ;) If I were his dad I would be bursting...

Looking at it from another angle, it is nice to have 2 coaches that lost to us be nominated for coach of the year. Otherwise, this makes no sense unless this was a preseason selection that didn't get updated!

I like Shamire's greater height and nimbleness on a fade to the back corner of the endzone. (Typically it is hard to combine the words Shamire and nimbleness in a sentence)

Which lineman would be best as a receiver for a "tackle eligible" play? Shamire has the height perfect to run a goal line fade but he plays guard :) Just wanted to prove it could get worse!

There are athletes and there are students, but at Tech every athlete must be a serious student. That is what makes it special about earning the degree.

Any update on Preddy? My son played against him in high school and he appeared to have a strong upside before his injury.

Then Qua can run "Smelter's" reverses next year! He doesn't have the size but that doesn't matter as much in the open field.

What excites me is that we have Both the starting QB and the backup QB returning. Both will be more experienced and probably better running the offense than this year. Since I was more than happy with their performances this year... Sorry, I need to calm down, this year isn't over yet!

Any chance Marcus Allen returns to the O as b-back? That is a position where ball security and experience are key and it also tends to have frequent injuries. Having a true freshman as the backup there concerns me. If Kallon can be at least as good next year as Gamble was this year, that would...

On the "fewer false starts" topic that Boomer mentioned, do we know how last year and this one compared? It appeared to me that when we had 5 yard penalties they killed the drive much more frequently last year. Wonder if that is supported by the facts.

Interesting hearing the call from their side, especially at the very end where the announcer stated the refs were "ACC" and "giving Tech a chance to push that in the end zone". It was cut off but I assume he was talking about the "fumble" from JT. So nice that "our" refs were looking out for us...

I am optimistic we will be better next year offensively because of the consistency we have exhibited under CPJ. Despite all the changes and difficulties over the years, this offense at its worst, functions pretty wel. Even during the 7 win years we have only been a break or two from 8-9 wins...
