Spring Practice 2016 News & Notes

I'm going to be honest, I don't see the MLD to WR thing. Yes, I'm just some random fan, and the coaches see him every single day, and have forgotten more about football than I'll ever know, but I still don't see it. A BIG role of the WR in GT's offense is the threat to take the top off the...

Sugiura: Two Tech offensive linemen’s playing futures uncertain

Johnson apparently said that a second surgery wouldn't help.

I don't know much about Fromayan. @Boomergump , got any kind of a read on him?

    AJC Article on OLine shifts

Fwiw, this is what I was talking about with Cottrell. Sometimes, they don't come back. Either all the way, or at all.

I have a hard time arguing with ANY of that. Frankly, football should almost always be a means to an end for college level players (and a computer engineering degree from GT is a heckfire of an end). I'd like to see the kid succeed on the football field, and I'd like to see the kid live a long...

I want to say Johnson said exactly that wednesday.

Haha, this doesn't surprise me at all. He's not huge, but he's nasty. Temperamentally well suited to the fist fight in a phone booth that is playing guard.

Spring Practice 2016 News & Notes

I posted this elsewhere, but I found it interesting. With the exception of Devine, it appears that Johnson has settled on an archetype for his OL, and it's 6'4, 285 and mobile. Pretty much everybody on the depth chart is within an inch and 5 pounds of that build (Griffin is SLIGHTLY larger at...

@flea77 How's Will liking it inside?

Spring Practice 2016 News & Notes

He was being facetious. Johnson has said he's going to work directly with the OL.

Haha, my old coach used to say the same thing about a guy if he looked like a beast, but wasn't. "Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane"

I don't know, but apparently he's not even the 3rd guard at the moment. Griffin was out and Stickler ran with the 1's today.

What leads you to believe that Gamble is playing SDE?

    Anyone live in DC?

Well, with the new silver line extending all the way out to Reston (and eventually beyond) there are DEFINITELY places you can afford. Where will you be working? In the district itself?

    Anyone live in DC?

I also live in the Virginia suburbs. As 00Burdell says, if you're thinking MD, stick to MOCO. In addition to DC/Bethesda, Arlington Va is a great place for a young single. Finally, I'd say avoid Adams Morgan, if you want to succeed in your new job. Too many distractions otherwise :) Burdell...

Spring Practice 2016 News & Notes

This is what I was getting at. I wouldn't be surprised to see a Klock/Griffin/Burden/Marshall/Bryan line (aka a light, athletic line that looks more like the first 3 or 4 years of Johnsons regime than the last 3 or 4)
