Maybe Collins needs someone on staff who knows what measurables the NFL is looking for at various positions, so players can be recruited for, and assigned to, the positions they might play, if they make it to the pros. Just a thought.

So, we have players with sufficient talent and “measurables” for the NFL, but our teams are perpetually mired in below-mediocre performance. Hmmmmm…

I sure hope Collins pulls the proverbial rabbit out of his hat this fall, that Tech is the P5 “surprise team of the year” and that we can all start feeling good about life again.

If the other teams have good coaches, they will make sure their teams know that if our coaches can devise good game plans and get our players up to play, we could be competitive. There are few head coaches who will have their teams unprepared and who take the other team lightly…

Sorry, but I disagree that Collins’ only failure has been with the selection of his subordinates (coaches), even though that is a major function of being a head coach (or any manager). He has amply demonstrated (and been excoriated for) game mismanagement, a tone-deaf attitude to the fan base...

If we go from a more experienced team to a less experienced one AND show marked improvement in the W/L column this fall, it would point strongly to the recent changes in the coaching staff. The question then would be how much MORE improvement we might have had with one more coaching change..
