  1. 2017-2018 GT Hoops Schedule

Yup. Got my renewal email today which is what got me thinking about opponents / schedule. :)
  2. 2017-2018 GT Hoops Schedule

If we play in an exempt holiday tourney, we can schedule 27 total games. The ACC is 18. Tennessee, UCLA, UGA, Wofford and ACC-B1G Challenge are another 5. That leaves 4 pay-for-pummel opponents plus a holiday exempt. Or 6 directional schools and no exempt tourney. Given the gauntlet...
  3. ACC Departures

No surprise. I assume he didn't get an invite to the NBA combine so decided to come back rather than have the snub go public. He's a very nice college player but doesn't seem to have a position in the league

Hope that was basketball work and not the kind of work I put in late at night back in the day. Oh, how I miss the Buckhead of old (Lulu's, Tongue & Groove, $3, Racoon Lodge, Pat Hurley's....)
  5. ACC Departures

Pinson is a nice guy to have on your squad at the college level. he doesn't want a ton of shots, but can make them when he gets looks. Love stories play D and can guard anything from PG to stretch 4 effectively. He's one of those guys who just seems to make others around him better.
  6. ACC Discussion

Not a surprise. Duval was on Duke campus last week and the general consensus is that he was shooting his commitment video.
  7. ACC Departures

If Bradley goes and they whiff on Knox, UNC will be pretty mediocre next year. Backcourt of Berry, Woods, Williams, Robinson, Felton & Platek. Front court of Pinson (smallish 3) and Maye (4) plus three frosh (Brooks, Manley, Huffman) Maybe this is part of Roy's plan to get hammered by NCAA...
  8. ACC Departures

Frank Jackson is going to test the waters, but not hire an agent. I assume he will go to combine, get feedback and be back in Durham. Would be very surprised if he stays in the draft
  9. ACC Departures

Berry is one of those kids who is probably torn. He had a really good year and won the Natl Championship. He won't likely get drafted unless it's mid to late second round. Another year in Chapel Hill won't help him in the draft, as he's unlikely to get taller or more athletic. the doubts...
  10. ACC Departures

I'm guessing he didn't fit in Keatts' plans or didn't like where he fit. No way he gets drafted this year (and I doubt he would ever get drafted). My guess is he transfers to a "mid major" and finishes out his two remaining years having fun and being a bigger fish in a smaller pond. Maybe...
  11. ACC Departures

I chatted with some folks who are pretty close to TarHole hoops last night. They believe Bradley will go as long as he's a lock to be in first round. Apparently sees little upside to staying and moving up 5 spots compared to getting paid and starting career now. They believe Berry will test...
  12. ACC Departures

My bad. I thought he trasferred, but appears MY old age caused faulty memories to kick in.
  13. ACC Departures

Good move for Collins. Wake could be hurting again if they don't pull a last minute recruiting coup or snag a GT big. Their only bigs on the roster right now are Mitoglu (stretch 4, not a big), Mathias (unknown frosh from England) and they just signed a HS kid from France who supposedly is a...
  14. ACC Discussion

empty words from the toddlers in Raleigh. The exit fee alone would stop them from actually doing this. Add to that the very long and protracted legal battle that would ensue. I think the NC legislature could save everyone time and energy if they just agreed to stop passing bills that cause...
  15. ACC Departures

With Colson, Pflueger, Farrell and Gibbs back, ND is going to be pretty good next year. They still have Geben in the middle to eat up space, too. Only recruit so far is DJ Harvey, 4* wing from DeMatha.
  16. ACC Departures

Allen graduates this year. He can enroll in grad school at Duke and finish there or go elsewhere as a GT. I would be shocked to see him leave Duke, but he could.
  17. March Madness Group

At UNC, it's hard to argue their education is worth much. No show classes and tutors writing your papers for you....
  18. ACC Departures

Nothing official, but the buzz is that Kennard is announcing tomorrow. Entering draft, hiring agent. Mixed signals on Allen still. No word on Berry yet, but everyone I know connected to UNCheat says Jackson is gone and they expect Berry & Bradley to test the waters and return.
  19. Coaching Carousel 2 - A New Dawn

I remember when one of the business mags (Forbes, Fortune, etc) did a list of top 50 over-rated cities in America. During the dot-com era, so late 90s / early 2000s. #1) Austin #2) Boston they did agree Austin is a fun college city with great music scene, but they questioned the hook em...
  20. ACC Departures

In the latest twist from the Triangle.... Bolden is staying at Duke
