Mitchell, Lewis and Alexander were real recruits with real offer sheets out of HS. Go look them up on the recruiting sites. Like I said in another thread, we aren't rolling a bunch of bums out there. The D staff needs to do a better job of coaching these guys up.

This season is the first time I've started to waiver on PJ and his future at GT, but if this 20+ year sidewalk fan ever becomes as miserable as you appear to be watching GT football, I hope I'd just fine something else to bide my time with.

I really believe that because Roof calls a "passive" style of defense, it causes our players to be passive. I think we would all agree that any good D has a certain level of physicality. "Physical" is not a word I'd use to describe our D.

You're the one that called out people for saying a certain player should be playing more as if people in chat aren't watching the game. I'm just saying that personnel decisions, like Simmons' PT, is just one more reason I don't care for Roof.

So what? We have other DE and DL that have bad games. It doesn't change the fact that he's been productive, overall this season, when given a chance to play.

And therein lies part of my issue with Roof. We have 1 LB who was better last year as a true freshman than he is this year. We have another LB that was awful today and should've been replaced. Simmons has been our best pass rusher on the DL yet he doesn't start and probably plays 1/3 of the D...

Some people act like we have a pile of bums playing LB. Most of them were fairly highly recruited out of HS with multiple P5 offers. We just stink at coaching them up.

1) Our O played well. 2) Butker still struggling from the right hash. 3) Our D was bad on 3rd down. 4) Our LB play is just plain bad. 5) If you can't tell, I'm still not a Ted Roof fan.

I don't want Navy's coaching staff, it would be a lot easier if our current HC would just acknowledge that we have some serious coaching deficiencies and worked to fix them. Long story short, some coaches need to be replaced.

To be honest, don't even care one way or another right now. Not gonna lie, part of me thinks that the only way PJ makes major changes after this season is only if we really suck like last year. Even then I'm not sure real changes would be made. I'm looking at you Sewak and Roof especially.

In today's football, if I ever see a head coach punt the ball on 3rd down, I'd be thinking they should be fired before another play is run in the game. I don't care if it's 3rd and 75, you're one penalty away from an automatic 1st down.
