Agreed. Last year GT was picked so low that it wasn't hard to exceed the forecast. This year, the reason could be that he knows what he has in his returning players and in the cupboard. There is no reason to believe that the level of play from that group will diminish from where it left off...
There won't be any mystery surrounding GT at the end of the season with this schedule. Not sure a 2 loss ACC Champion gets into the playoffs either, unless the same goes for 2 or 3 of the other P5 conferences.
VPI has had more than their fair share of luck playing against GT the last few...

GT/VT is always a great game. A Thursday night in November should be prime.
BTW - There are very few, if any, "Tech fans." We're like the mafia in that regard. You're either born into it or went there and are a made man.
You have to get a burger (almost world famous?) and imbibe at the...

We started the countdown clock with 206 days. Just over 20% left. Almost. There. Hang. On.
(announcer) And here they are, all the way from Atlanta, G-A, America's new favorite CFB team, THE GEORGIA TECH YELLOW JACKETS!!!! (wild applause) (team takes a bow in the spotlight)
I can dream until then anyway.
Of the choices involving defense, I think it's the combined contribution of all 3 that is going to make other teams in the league wonder how and when the unit got so damn good.
It really depends upon how we lose. If the team lays an egg like last year's Dook game, that's one thing. If the team loses to a quality team but goes down fighting, like F$U, that's another. I can live with the latter. The former was downright excruciating.
I am as optimistic, if not more. I can't recall in 27 years of watching GT football of a year where GT is returning so many experienced players at key positions. But the team should not get overconfident, and I don't believe the coaching staff will allow that to happen until the plateau has...
Communism would work well with robots, as it clearly does with football. This is because human nature sabotages communism in real life. If a team can execute on the gridiron without being sabotaged by emotion, the better.
If to compare/contrast the application of political ideologies to...
You mean playing time uses the free market approach, with high consumer demand for blocking skills. All offenses are communistic really, in that every man has an assignment, but there is disparity at other schools in who is given opportunity to score TDs. GT is very generous in that regard.
Better: "Yeah, but it sure looks like GT's commie offense had produced more consistent results and success than other school's fascist and monarchistic models."
